Back to Common Grounds.

I've bugged this, but I seriously hope that this isn't intended.. At least let we rogues try and curry favour by helping orgs take villages..

I've losted a lil over 107% already just from 3 or 4 deaths in southgard. sad.gif

Edit: And I'm going to go ahead and preempt all the people going "omg rogues shouldn't be involved." : Rogues should be involved because some of us are trying to be NOT ROGUES by helping.

107 from 4 deaths? I lose 70% from a single death sometimes...

Anyway, where would they conglutinate to and what would be the justification?
Shamarah2005-06-23 10:51:37
They could conglutinate to the Portal of Fate. That's their nexus.

They'd conglutinate to the portal of fate, where they teleport to.

And the justification would be...wait, what's the justification for everyone else conglutinating in unowned prime territory? Oh yeah! People complained about dying too much and said they were burnt out so they could still play in influence without losing their precious 'XP'. That's a weak justification, so I don't see why you're requiring Visaeris to come up with some story telling reason.

The Portal of Fate is... the Portal of Fate, not a Nexus.

Visaeris' ~25% per death is actually more than your 70%.

Oh sorry dear Olan for asking a few simple questions, I shant do it again O Great One of allknowingness and everything cheese-like..
Shamarah2005-06-23 11:01:57
Well, I meant that it functions as their nexus for Teleport.

For the last time, if you're a rogue, it's your own damn fault. Lusternia was not meant for rogues, you have a huge loss being one.

You and I got told that for most of the game so far, or have you forgotten already?

And if you're going to whine about being killed, and not conglutinating to save you exp, don't freakin involve yourself. I don't fight, or influence, but I decided to throw myself into the fight and I *gasp* lost experience. And I gain it back Far slower than you do.

biggrin.gif Give the guy a chance. He started no less than 50 threads whining about Glomdoring. This is only his first whiny thread about Rogues. A big improvement, don't you think?

Except that he's trying to stop being a rogue... why else would he be in village influencing? Therefore, doesn't it make sense that he should be encouraged to work for that goal with conglutinate rather than discouraged, since rogues are unwanted?

To be fair, conglutination is possible because of one's tie to a nexus. No nexus, no tie thus no rezz.

So's teleport nexus, theoretically.

How's it handeled on Astral? If a Rogue somehow gets up there, for example with the help of some friends, and dies up there, does he/she conglutinate or not?

No.
Ashteru2005-06-23 16:40:55
Well, then they shouldn't conglutinate in villages. Case closed.

You are right. But to discourage rogues, you dont make their life easier. You make it harder for them to exist as one, hence no power, conglutination etc. I can sympathize with Visaeris though, since he is pretty much unwanted anywhere.
Richter2005-06-23 17:36:25
It's his own character's fault. At least when I was rogue, I only had one organization that hated me. I can't sympathize any longer, because of the choices he made.

And people can conglutinate in Achaea?

I was a rogue astral whore for quite some time and whenever I died I conglutinated to the portal of fate..
