Wouldn't it just be grand if all cartel designs available to the public were... available to the public? That way, everyone who would be a potential buyer could just look up the design, know what's needed and what it looks like, and spare the poor merchant from having to list everything they can make. I suppose all private cartel designs of the city and commune cartels could only be seen by those in their respective city or commune as well.

I agree! It would be great I think, for my tailor and for her customer if the customer could say "I need a tailor to make me a pair of wooden shoes." (or whatever) because they a) knew they needed shoes and b ) decided wooden shoes were cool.

Instead of what happens currently, which is, a customer says "I need some shoes." and I say "What sort of shoes?" and they say "What kind are there?" and I say " There's this kind and this kind and this kind and that kind and that kind and this kind and that kind..." and so on. Then the customer says "What does this kind look like?" and I describe it to them. Then they say "What does that kind look like?" and I describe it to them. Wash, rinse, repeat until they decide they like the first one.

I agree, but in my opinion required commodities shouldn't be available for everyone, just list with descriptions.
