Astroloy is AWESOME. Even though only my alt has it, and I ditched every other skill he had to get as high as I could.

Only 3 people have been publicly announced as paid, the others do it because they're crazy and masochistic.

I gotta tell ya, Astrology rocks. I love how much work was put into it...damn gotta make me an astro-alt just to look at everything *laugh* Thank you for the most awesome skill I've ever seen put into any IRE game *glee*

i agree astrology is pretty kick butt, now i need to get a job so i can buy more credits for my alt to trans it and mess around, damn lusternia for being so addictive i don't want to leave and get a job!

-laughs- I am also tempted to make an alt for Astrology but meh, I can live just listening about it and driving others nuts begging for more information about my character's astrological signs and such.

I've learned some astrology on my alt. From what I've seen, the skillset is not for me, but still pretty cool.

Matt has mentioned how surprising it is that IRE games get so much volunteer support, totalling up to hundreds of hours per week from the admins and coders. He has also mentioned, or so I've heard, how stupid he thinks we are for working for free.

I don't think it's surprising at all.
I personally consider working on a project like Lusternia one of the coolest things that can possibly happen to a coder... Much more interesting than writing boring applications or designing websites nobody will ever use. Here you have an incredibly creative environment in a genre you'll typically like (seeing as you play the game, duh) and things you do will actually get used.
