Sonum bonum is the term used by ancient Alchemists to refer to the Philosopher's Stone. The reason why I have started this is because I'm still considering various options for a character and was wondering if there was more information out there concerning the Stones. Some of my questions thus far: Has someone actually succeeded in creating one? If so, what sort of abilities/uses does it have? Would it be an effort worth contributing one's entire gaming experience towards accomplishing? And, very generally, how hard is it (supposed to be) to make one? Thanks for your time!

The stone is nothing as mystic as you seem to think, I'm sorry to say. A lot of people have them - it's just the transcendant alchemy skill, and gives you a sipping bonus. (That means more ego, health and mana is regenerated when you sip, if you're not aware.) Nothing special.

Ah well, that's lame. Thanks.

Scratches off all Wiccan and Druidic guilds as a possibilty.

At least it narrows down my options a bit.

Looks at shorter list, and thinks for a moment. A feat which leaves him with a headache, questions, and not many answers.

The RP in Lusternia is more based around what the players themselves create than the skills we have. Sure the skills lay a nice foundation and provide some boundaries to work within, but the real depth of Guild RP stems from all the work people put into it. Atleast that has been my experience in the Moondancers.

That much I know, which is why I prefer MUDs over graphically enabled games. The story that I would have created to go along with the task would have made it an excellent selection for me from a RPing stance, but there also has to be some sort of quintessence between the two (function and adaptation). I am talented enough as a writer to adapt to any situation and enjoy myself while doing it, but the level at which I am entertained has to be enhanced by what I can do. If a skill is not quite up to par, then I may not select it. However, I do often enojy making characters based on what tickles my fancy, rather than off of sheer statistics. In that manner, I guess you could say I hate to think systematically, but find myself doing it more often than not.

On another topic, I am still thinking of doing one of the following:

Elfen Serenguard (which is the current created account for Ithylar)
Elfen Ebonguard (I am admittedly sometimes drawn to the darker aspects of things)
Trill Paladin (dunno exactly what attracts me to this option, but it seems interesting).

Actually, if you're into Trill for the wings, Paladins get wings through one of their skills no matter what race.

I think wings is in Celestialism if I remember rightly.

You could be faeling ebonguard and fly, or anything ebonguard, with night, and fly.

Ebonguard are great, but I wouldn't go elfen.

I think you mean crow. Unless there's an ability to fly in night too.

you get wings from celestialism not sacraments so a trill paladin would work out if you want wings.

Yeah he means Crow.
