Hm! Well, I know I can't mend greatrobes and cloaks now. Can anyone explain why this changed? It would have been nice if the mend price dropped a bit so us tailors could actually charge a profit to mend without costing more than the original item.

Ugh, greatrobes and cloaks cant be mended now?? WHY! Those are the two most important things... and they decay so quickly too..
EDIT: at least tailoring is based on the article of clothing being mended...with jewelery its a flat rat of 5000 gp...even on little cheap rings

Also, i'm pretty sure its miswoven. I havn't been able to mend anything.

Yeah, all of my items aren't able to be mended either.
Aebrin2005-06-26 05:06:34
Seriously, I had a damn good set of greatrobes decay on me. Was not happy.
I'm screwing the greatrobe issue and going with Chain mail.
This mending business is taking business from the tailors with Great robes decaying quickly.

The mending fees just seem stupid here. The custom jewellery and clothing is still very limited. it seems stupid that it costs less to make new items than it costs to to mend them, even if I could mend anything.
Admin, could someone please have a look at mending in tailoring and at least tell us if its meant to work or not work?
Kinda related question. Who/where should tailoring questions and suggestions go? We don't have an envoy like the guilds do. Are we meant to feed things through the cartel? Or what?

Your Trademaster, Morik. They are essentially cartel envoys.

Guild envoys can suggest things for skills other than their guild skills.

Edit: I misread and miscounted negatives. This is true, that's what I was trying to say, but I got it backwards. Someone slap me, I'm such an idiot sometimes!

Despite persistent repetition of this, it is not true.

Actually, we are allowed to. I'm not sure of the limits as to how far we're allowed to, but it seems that the admins are receptive to suggestions from envoys about other classes as well as their own, as long as it is within reasonable boundaries.

I have a question that is really moronic....
Are there certain levels of mending or does mending allow you to mend any article of clothing aside from great robes?

People say that mending is broken, period , greatrobes are suppose to be mendable...and yes there are different levels. Getting a sock mended is cheaper than getting a coat mended.
Jairdan2005-06-27 03:05:25
I'm telling you as the Trademaster to Moonlace, your Trademaster is the person to go to. Trademasters have the Trademaster board where they post suggestions, and its also much better if you send any needed messages for them to send to the Charites, so that they don't have 50 thousand people sending them messages.

Thanks now I dont feel like a complete moron

*shrug*
My envoy has taken non-guild suggestions.
Vix2005-06-27 03:37:13
So any Divine word on this? I want my stuff mended.

Dang it, I screwed up. I misread the post as saying they could not make suggestions, which people are always saying but it isn't true, they can. I'm so sorry for mucking up the thread. I've edited my post above but I wish I could just delete the whole mess.
