Well, after reading the long and tad annoying threads on Glomdoring RP and other things, I decided to make this.

Basically, what you do is you tell us the current RP of your character(s) and see if people agree how well you are currently playing that role. Please no flaming others RP, we want constructive critiquing here. If you feel someone isn't playing their character to the RP they are imaging, explain and try to help each other fix it so that Lusternia will have a unique population of people.

I'll start.

Jasper as of now, I have been playing him as a rather forward yet silent follower of Night. He comes across to me as cold, extremely formal and distant. With his awakening to Night, I have been trying to play Jasper as a controller of shadows - him performing various actions calling the shadows to do small things like clothe him in shifting robes of darkness, blinding other temporarily etc. I try to play him as an nobleman of sorts, somewhat vain I think, assimulating qualities of Lhiannan and the slaugh.

And that is all I can think about right now. So, am I playing Jasper as I said I am? Do I need to work on certain aspects of Jasper's actions and thinking?

I don't really interact with your character much, but as for me I think Ialie is likely to be unpredictable, flighty, nervous and scared in uncomfortable surroundings. She is weak, or atleast doen't know her full potential to be strong.

wow where do I begin

Murphy> Urlach's chosen warrior, generally gruff and doesn't tolerate crap like random snuggling, licking or disrespect in general.

Is known to take offending novices aside and set them straight, scaring them in the process.

Known to be scary by his enemies, and people generally run upon his entrance into the room. He is generally an ass to his enemes, except for a select few who he respects and gets along with.

He wishes Magnagora would harden up a bit more, and sees to it to tell everyone so when required. A leader of men, rewards those who deserve it.

On occaision he's seen to joke around a little when the time calls for it.

Celests Soldier, fighting for the light. I play one of the lesser characters who doesn't really take a huge hand in politics or big events. If npc guards could come and help influence fight the taint etc. I'd sort of be like that.

Do what I'm told try and go up in the army ranks.

My RP started off as following my leaders who were Rafael and Thorgal and doing as I was commanded that sort of messed up when Thorgal left for magnagora and Rafael went dormant but is starting up again now.

Couldn't honestly tell you where Syrienne's RP is.. I suppose the top three words most people use to describe her are blunt, passionate and aggressive. She's not really one to beat around the bush when she has something to say and her passion is the source of quite a bit of her problems. She loses her patience and thus sometimes her head when she feels very strongly about something. Aggressive is easy to see in her I think as it is in myself since it's not a characteristic thats found in alot of females. Wether its something simple like a level or something bigger like a leadership position, she's always moving toward that goal whatever it may be.

Finally decided on someone to go with, so I don't actually have much to provide just yet. However, Ozai, is an Aslaran Serenguard. I've decided on making him like a panther (or jaguar/leopard if you prefer to be factual) in appearance and mannerism. As such I've been reading up on how such a cat would act; id est, what sort of mentality they have compared to lions who have prides or tigers which don't, or what sort of basic attitude he would have (extrovert versus intravert). The idea was for me to mesh realistic big cat behaviour with humanoid characteristics and Lusternia game lore. I haven't done much playing at all in-game, but at least I have a good general idea of how to portray him, methinks.

Laneth is compassionate but realistic. He will give people a second chance, but if you abuse that trust he is not one to crumble for a smile and a sorry. He can be a bit of a fanatic when he gets worked up about his beliefs, but he means well.

My alt is manipulative and hungry for personal power. He will play whatever role he feels will further his overall goals and doesn't particularly care who he steps on along the way.

EDIT: If someone described my alt the way I have it would mean, to me, that I am not playing his role how I should.

No one else seems to be commenting on anyone else's RP, so before I put down mine (Jasper made me! So I'm not being hypocritical) I'll have to say that Murphy is doing what he said (plus some stuff he DIDN'T say), Syrienne and Ialie too, not a clue about Jasper and whoever Ithylar is.

Nejii - nice to his friends, tries to be respectful to his enemies when he can but has a bad temper, has a suspicion he's losing Isune's teachings and doesn't know what to think anymore, but tries to help out where he can anyway. Fights the Taint's incursion further out from Magnagora and Glomdoring when possible, though no attempts to cut it off at the source for a long, long time.

Like me, but Seren. Yeah, I know. :/

Tenq - Tries to be nice in a sense to everyone, he cant really be bothered holding a grudge. He's tried fighting once or twice, but it never really seems worth while, like Alchemy, you leave with less then you came in with. Though he's layed off bashing for a bit lately, with the whole Astrology, he's a true blue believer in Shikari's ethos and that Hunting is a valuable part of being a predator.

I'm a horrible roleplayer, since my character actions are almost always inspired by my real self, I just try to stay IC as much as possible, which will sometimes still fail. In some occasions I roleplay actively, in some occasions I miserably fail at it, but I do my best, try to learn in the process and be an honorable player.

Always been a crappy actor, people around me generally know what I'm thinking/going to do before I know it myself. If I have to ruin my own and other's gameplay, by for example damaging the city I'm in, to be true to my roleplay, I pass, and rather be a bad roleplayer.

I play Rafael like I never have my Achaean. Those who think they can compare the two don't know my Achaean, or Rafael, or both, well enough. I am devoted to an ideal here, actually still with the same girl after 20 years, and my part in my Guild and City I stick to, despite consequences.

Ialie, you play your character "perfectly." I remember this one time you entered Angkrag and I had my suspicions on you, telling you to leave. You were nervous, flighty, panicky and overall scared. And all you were doing was buying gems.

As for Gerald, he has his background written so that's his RP right there. He has an icy view on life, and I think I roleplay that attitude relatively well. Some people in my guild has learned to dislike me because of it.

I think Ialie does a pretty good job the times I've interacted with her. Someone who's not afraid to be sort of skiddish and back downish is sort of refreshing in a world of people who seem to constantly want to beat on their own chest and roar like a lion or something. Ialie is a kind of delightful little pacifist who plays off being the tiny little Faeling pretty well. Even though she did attack me once.. I just couldnt bring myself to behead her, to nice.

I roleplay Joli as being the cute, bouncy little bunny. When I first made her I got in a crap load of trouble for being so "happy" and had to tone it down a -lot-. Now she's still cute and cuddly, but if you with her she'll hire assassins (you know who you are ) if she can't take care of you herself. She has very bad taste in men, in my opinion, and always dates the bad boys. She also has the habit to pester Divines... (but they can get her to go away by using the old rolled up newspaper )

but sure if you want your character to become emotionally distant and incapable of feeling, go ahead and date Joli. She'll you up good.. and yes I am bitter (but not so much Joli..)

I'm like Thorgal, I play Acrune too much like me, although I have been trying to add in other things, like the moderate racism, the actual caring about the light, and caring enough about anything to try to force his opinion on others .

Oh, I rustle around a bit at Magnagora casino. And read my messages sometimes. But I mostly just rustle. And do nothing. Cause I can't.

Anyone think I play that role well?
