This is exactly right. Otherwise chasm should have you vitae 9 levels deep in the ground, which we didn't want. Sorry about the "evaes" typo, but I see nothing wrong with grammatical usage of the word "and"?

Because there isn't anything to "and" after. You describe the setting, then the elixir, and then just say "and" out of nowhere, and then what happens.

The 'that' and 'and' don't like eachother . Remove one or the other and we will all be happy-happy care bears.

On the bright side, they fixed "elixir". I hope they fixed it everywhere else. "elixer" makes me grit my teeth. In Aetolia I always wanted to advertise my refilling by saying I could not only fill elixirs, I knew how to spell it... but I never did.
