This is comming from something I just sort of stumbled onto in the general forums. I'd like to know what everyone thinks would be the most interesting, not just for the commune itself, but for external RP and conflicting beliefs outside of Ackleberry. Basically what do you all think would stir up the most interest, intruge, etc and why?

I voted the first option but it isn't exactly what I think would happen. I could see Ackleberry being totally against the Light and the Taint, and especially Celest since it was their F-up that forced them into hiding or whatever.

You forgot a big one... and that is right down the middle from Glom and Serenwilde. Perhaps the entire commune is infested with the Taint to the point where neither side can be fully separated. They use the power of the Taint to fight the taint, though this "power" isn't really "taint" much anymore.

This would be an unusual twist, particularly between the communes. Ackleberry would be hated by Seren because they're "tainted" and maybe even be shocked to learn the Serens are now shunning them. And they would reject and fight against Glom because they let the Taint drive them mad.

There is no seperation, and while the Ackleberry commune doesn't fully approve of their own actions to bend the Taint to their will, they also realize if they didn't they would have been destroyed.

I'm still curious what makes people think Ackelberry even CAN come back..

Why would it be Tainted? I don't get that. Didn't they seperate themselves before the Taint was upon them?

They would know Celest as Old Celest, the same place who released the Taint and created all these problems for them, that's why I think they would hate them. That could be a point of conflict between Serenwilde and Ackleberry then, too, considering Seren's amiable terms with Celest.

If I remember the histories properly, nobody knows if they "left in time or not"

Meaning, its possible -some- of the forest was tainted... however, if my understanding is correct, that war and spreading of the taint would not continue, if anything bringing them back would reawaken the piece of Kethuru that was in Ackelberry, and the Krokani would have to push it back again.

Realize, they were not sent to another dimension, they were removed from creation completely, which includes Time, kind of like how Halifax is.

I got the impression they did leave in time. Meh. Does history say specifically they left creation? I can't remember.

You can still see it, though. So I don't think you're right on that one.

You know what I think would be really awesome?

If the -players- got to choose ICLY and compete to have it tainted or untainted..

As in, have a big event, and certain quests/a war to fight over ackleberry being tainted or untainted. If not a war, then an event, or quest or something that will go either way.

Then we can only blame ourselves for it being tainted or untainted.

You may say "oh its unbalanced" and "magnagora will win it easy" but i'm sure there's a balance that can be had.

After brain digging in the chat room... there is no way that Ackelberry is Tainted... Just look at the Basin Map.

So they left this reality.

Forces of evil can't taint Ethereal Ackleberry... oooh maybe Prime will be tianted but Ethreal won't... *cackle*

I chose the first option. The snugglers can go there.

I believe they won't be tainted. I kinda want them to be though, and i want them to ACCEPT it, unlike Glomdoring.
