Well, I know that I joined the msn group around april of last year, and we waited for what seemed like -forever- to have the game released.

But when -was- the first day? I can't even remember what I ate for dinner the night before, most days. Heh...

-And-, IRE games typically have large credit/artifact sales on anniversaries... biggrin.gif

first day of open beta was in september. Around the 18 I believe?
Richter2005-07-05 19:37:34
Hrm, so it's only been 10 months... I think it was because we all expected the release to be June/July that I was thinking it was coming up.
Kaervas2005-07-05 19:38:55
Think I'll start saving up my money for the credit/arti sale now. tongue.gif

Open Beta Testing begins! The great community of players succeeded voting Lusternia to the no. 11 at TopMudSites. Thanks to you all!

From the website:

Three months and two days from now.
Richter2005-07-05 19:49:24
Ugh, that's right. It was further, because I was in closed beta. >_<

Though, Kaervas has a good point. biggrin.gif Might as well start saving now!

Closed beta started sometime in September, my memory is rather hazy of when precisely, though I have a vague feeling it was the 4th or 5th. Open beta started 7th October.

I've been involved in Lusternia since last April, so I already had my one year anniversary. biggrin.gif

Heh, yeah, congrats to the Divine who have been working on this longer than most of us have known about it.

And I seem to remember you liking me more back then. tongue.gif

I suppose we can all (if this game follows the precedent of the others) hope for a credit sale around October. smile.gif Mmm, sale.

Closed beta began the weekend after my wedding, so that's easy to remember for me. Oh wait. That requires me to remember my wedding aniversary... So I'm actually not sure when closed beta began. I do recall it opened to the public first week of October. But for me, I think I got actively in April of 2003, though I was roped in about 2 or 3 months before Imperian opened. So I've already had my second Lusternia aniversary...
Shryke2005-07-05 22:43:40
will there be a credit sale!!? If so I'm gonna wait to buy me creddies tongue.gif

I remember sitting around waiting because the iron realms site said it was supposed to open in summer 04 and it kept getting pushed back. I was sad I was stuck with crappy Imperian.
Unknown2005-07-06 00:18:55
I remember how sad people were when that last day in summer came and went and there was no open Lusternia.
Auseklis2005-07-06 09:23:42
Hee, there was some frantic building going on to try to open it for the end of summer. It was good fun though, and got you guys salivating a bit more.
Unknown2005-07-08 18:09:44
How exactly do you get into a closed beta for a new game?
Richter2005-07-08 18:28:19
I was browsing around the Aetolia msn group, and found the Lusternian one. The majority of the people with an IQ over 80 that were haunting the Lusternia board got chosen for closed beta.
Niara2005-07-08 23:01:42
There was an announcement at the Lusternia msn-group with an email-address where you had to apply for the closed beta...about 100 were chosen I think...it was a funny time.
