What if there was an arty for your shop that allowed you to see who bought what and how much it cost, there by keeping a pretty spiffy record of your shop sales.

Hmmmmmm I'm not sure.

For one, I think IF you have an ability to see who bought what, it should be built in, after all, what do you have your shop attendant for?

But, do you know any shop that keeps a record on who bought what?
"This will be $20 oh and ma'am, please sign here for our records?"

Though, maybe in a somewhat limited version... maybe have it display what guild that person was or what commune/city? That sort of thing might be reasonably recognizeable by a stupid shop attendant...

Oh and... stop scaring me Ialie, I replied in Richter's thread just when you moved things, got a big bad error message fear.gif

Yeah, that would be neat. Especially since it would easilly tell you which items were selling better than others.

actually if we're talking about 20 dollars and not some sort of gold coin, many shops do that. Radioshack comes to mind as the most annoying, most supermarkets do it (that's exactly what your "discount card" does), and anywhere you use a credit card is doing it. tongue.gif

that said, in Lusternia's atmosphere, I think it might be reasonable to suggest a shopkeeper could keep track of how much was sold everytime something was sold. While asking everyone who comes in for their name and keeping track of that is possible, at least in this world I don't think it makes a great deal of sense. They've no mailing lists to send them to after all wink.gif.

ah, I can hear the cries about the traitors who bought such and such in x commune/city now...

The electronic tills take records anyway. No signing need be involved.

Yes yes, I know, credit cards are evil and tell people how many pimples you have on your b----, that's why I don't have one, anyway, what I was trying to point out was that shops don't do that sort of tracking usually, SAFE for smuggling trackable RFID labels into their goods and registering every dime you spend with your credit card. Meh biggrin.gif
