I just bought this game yesterday, mostly because my game magazine, Game Informer, gave it a perfect 10.

I'm on the second or third level, and it's a -great- game so far.

Has anyone here beaten it, or played a good bit of it?

Yeah, I beat it, fun game.

I went through on normal difficulty started playing through on the next one up, then stopped for a couple weeks midway through. It didn't seem too hard at the time I was playing but I have a feeling when I go back to it I'm gonna get worked.

Bugs me that there's really no respawn, though.

Played it, beat it, loved it. After watching the extras though, you get the feeling that there was a ton more they could have added if they delayed it an extra few months (Icarus Wings...*droooool*). And climbing up the Titan's back was going to be an entire level. I tried God difficulty, boy did that suck, keep getting killed by the push-the-box-on-the-ship-while-the-skeletons-shoot-at-you thing...

God difficulty was.... ugh, I don't think I can describe the torture and pain of it.

Just beat the game yesterday. I'm not sure if I'll be doing God Mode, as the first hydra killed me in two hits.

Fantastic game, best of the year so far in my opinion.

I'm pretty far in God mode, but I can't get past those demon guys with the double bladed axe things... they were hard in normal but unbelievably difficult in God mode. I bought it when it first came out, beat it in normal in like a week or so, then started in God mode, and played it little by little (or until I got frustrated, broke my controller, and had to go get a new one)... Best new Playstation 2 game since Vice City it is it is.

Anyone else think the race art for the Human Geomancer looks kinda like Kratos?
