For the rather low price of 40 creddies, provided you have the comms, I will do all forging for you and your alts for free, for life.
Unknown2005-07-12 03:08:50
hmmm considering that i buy comms already adn get the forging it self for free like it should be i am saying nah. But if you make it 2 credits and a free lollypop maybe
Unknown2005-07-12 08:11:37
Um no, you shouldn't get forging for free unless the smith is family or similar, because otherwise that just totally screws the whole trade. There's some silly people who're actually trying to earn money by the goods they produce. (And forging already is by far the worst paying trade)
Melanchthon2005-07-12 09:17:36
Well, I'm going to reserve comment on how things like this affect or do not affect the economy, but they're not really something to scoff at, even if you already get smith work done locally for just the comms.

There seems to be a misconception that as soon as an item comes off the forge, it's worth owning. That's not really true. Something worth owning often takes days of refining before it's ready to leave the workshop and be put into use. Assuming that sort of effort is included in these offers, I wouldn't laugh at them at all.

Right, well, check FORGING PLATE. See the new private armour we have? 40cr, and you can start pumping those out for me. biggrin.gif Not a bad deal at all, because after 14 sets, it lets me have free armour anytime I want!

Exactly, the fact is that few tradeskills take nearly as much time to produce a quality product, you can get refillls done in minutes, enchants done nearly as fast, but, for example, my swords, both, over 180 damage, were made by ixion, and took nearly 150 reforgings each, calculate that at around 5-6 minutes per forge without the artifact, thats around 10 hours on the low end, per sword, bring the forging time down to 3 minutes, (no where near that) and you still got 5 hours per sword. Granted, one may get EXTREMELY lucky and get those stats the first go, but that is quite a unlikely event. So, for 40 credits, you got me willing to spend hours making you a product as good as you want, if you only want 150 dmg or 80/80 armour, thats fine, but 40 credits is a decent investment to know for a fact that you have someone that is willing to take the time to make sure you can always have the best product you desire. And for those worried about maybe having a different time than me playing wise, I put in a good 75 hours a week, cause Im on when in lecture hall, at home, doing home work (wonderful time to forge, by the way) bus-ride home, pretty much almost all day everyday, Im sure I contend with a few for most time spent in realm on average, but the point is, I'll always be here, and there's no need to worry.

Too bad you're a Seren Diamante, I'd give you the credits and hire you as a forger *grin*

Please. Shorter sentences, and more paragraphs. I can't read that.

The number, very large, if you hadn't guessed, of commas, in that one sentence, scare me, honestly, it really does... blink.gif
Diamante2005-07-15 23:58:36
meh, Ill work on it, thats not the point. Ill make it easy for Kalo and others to understand. GIVE ME CREDITS, GET ARMOUR DONE FOREVER
Vix2005-07-19 19:18:41
Didn't we have a thread like this with Marcalo or something? It doesn't seem like a worthy investment of 40 credits, but then again, I'm cheap.
Laysus2005-07-19 21:39:49
I get forging done for free if I supply comms tongue.gif
Stangmar2005-07-19 21:57:10
