I'm staring at the computer screen, tapping my track pad, having unappealing ideas running through my head... i'm so bad ad duplicating styles :\\ Anyway any of you guys wanna share what you plan to submit or what you've done? Ill put up a draft when i think of one heh.

Oh is it possible to get a full size image of the nexus pictures?

I pulled up the 4 different pictures of the nexi that the guy did, and played with photoshp filters untill I found something that could give that type of brush look.

Then I did my thing and at the end ran the filter over it.


My biggest concern is if I got the "a dark plane" bit interpreted right.

This is what I have so far still need to tweak at the runes. It think its's too busy though, compared to the simplicity of the Nexi pictures.

I tried to save it as a gif like they are on the page but the program added weird flecks.

Wow, EVERYONE'S looks great. I, with my uninformed, unprofessional opinion believe Kaileigh and Blastron are closer to the artist's style, but I really like Carnage's. Muaha.

Everyone else is good, too! But those are my two favourites (Kaileigh, Carnage). But a lot of you said "work in progress", so we'll see!

I'm with you there. I like CarnageFiend's best, but I think it's less appropriate to the source material, so to speak. It looks like a damn good Portal Of Something, but not so much our Portal of Fate.

EDIT: Incidentally, Dags, I'm not sure if this is just your drawing style or something, but what exactly is that at the bottom of your picture? I like the portal itself, but I don't know if that's like...melted...sand or something, or what. Is it meant to be arbitrary or am I just looking at it wrong?

The rest of the artists should all gang up and kill Carnage so he can't outgun everyone anymore.

That's what I would do, were I an artist.

I think I like Daganev's the most so far.

My only problem is the style. It's not the same as the original artist's. Not than any of the others are identicle, but I feel Kaileighs comes very, very close.

No dear. He just meant he felt Carnage was the best - however, while Carnage may or may not have a superior style, the style is *not* the type Estarra explicitly said she was looking for, nor does it match the Portal of Fate as well as yours does! It's all opinion. Shh.

interesting, I see that nobody interpreted "A dark plane" the same way I did...

I was thinking that the dark plane was the place where the fates hang out... maybe I should change mine.

As for whats on the bottom... its just lighting from the fires of the portal.

I believe you are right, it is where the Fates hang out. Shallamar. I like yours, a lot. But it just doesn't follow the style, and thus I like Kaileigh's more.

And, it sssoooo looks like melting sand. So does.
