ok as it stands now axelord chop makes you chop threw a tree faster then just using chop in environment, maybe allow it for axelords only to cut threw totems? or maybe another skill that allows us to cut threw totems, since as it stands really chop either in its old form, or its axelord form is useless. let me know what you think.
Vix2005-07-23 22:54:03
Cutting through totems isn't very fair though. The communes can't cut through spikes and supplicants though I've heard that the respective cosmic quests of the cities can.
Terenas2005-07-23 22:54:40
You're kidding me right? Chop totems? Do you know how freaking long it takes to grow one? Not to mention it's a source of power for the communes. Sure, let's give Bonecrushers a Smash ability so they can take down statues faster, sounds good?
Marcalo2005-07-23 22:59:25
i just threw it out as a idea, i would be happy even if it was removed and somthing more usefull was put in its place, cause like i said chop is useless.
Unknown2005-07-24 00:02:22
Not really. It's only useless if you have it in both places. And if you put lessons into a seperate skill JUST for Chop, you deserve it to be useless. kthnx.
Marcalo2005-07-24 02:59:11
ok see we are trying to find a way for it to be useful not listen to some twit yammer, so unless your going to contribute somthing valid to the thread shaddup, anyway i was thinking of a lunge type move called twirlblade, basicly you would spine your axe like a blender is the best way to explain it, and it would just use the same formula that lunge use's
Terenas2005-07-24 03:07:31
Though I agree that Pureblade and Axelord should get a power ability aside from Decapitate and Roundhouse, I don't think giving them something akin to Lunge or Crush would be unique.
Daganev2005-07-24 04:15:12
maybe it can chop only unbonded totems?
Terenas2005-07-24 04:19:56
Ever since totems was changed to only allow one totem bond per Stag user, it's already hard to get totems bonded in key locations. However, a Mage or Guardian is able to bond to as many statues as he wishes, and with the increased timing on destroying a totem, it is virtually impossible to take one down. Why should we be punished because we don't have enough people to bond to our totems? Not to mention that will hurt our power influx.
Edit- Mage or Guardian. Just for you Geb.

Correction, enchanter not mage. An enchanter can be a mage or a guardian.
Daganev2005-07-24 04:25:05
Also, don't forget that anyone can take down a statue.

It takes 15 minutes. It is not an easy task. It means that you CANNOT do it, basically, in enemy territory.
Terenas2005-07-24 04:32:54
The skill to destroy statues is second from Trans in Arts, a skill that most people won't bother Transing until they got at least one or two guild skills. Something like Enchanting is much more likely to be taken and Transed before Arts. And as Shiri said, it takes a much much longer time now. I wouldn't mind people being able to chop down Totems if we could actually get more of them bonded/runed. But since that's not happening anytime soon, it doesn't make sense why they can be chopped down, bonded or runed.

You mean ever since the bug, that allowed Stag users to bond to as many totems as they wanted too, was fixed right?
Unknown2005-07-24 06:50:38
Give up Moon for Stag for the good of the Serenwilde, Terenas!

Who said that chopping a unbonded, unruned totem would be easy? Still makes sense that it should be possible.
Marcalo2005-07-24 12:52:33
ohh or i was thinking for pureblade somthing called doubleslice, basicly that make two quick pokes at some one with there sword, and it does like 1/3 the normal damage per 2 attacks but it does twice the wounding.
Marcalo2005-07-24 12:57:45
as for bonecrushers like terenas suggested that would be interesting if they were giving a ability that allowed them to break down statue's with there bludgeons, it would definitly fit the skills since they are all about crushing and breaking.

Whatever it was. Now we have like 20 total totems bonded, whereas a city could have one in every single room. It's not fair! Oh well, I'm hoping to get Stag to bond to at least two totems, if not well, Stag still sucks.
