Okay, so me and Alger decided to test this summoning stuff. Because forestal resistance seems like a myth to me. He claims otherwise. So I decided to do a Daevos report. Statistics forthcoming.

Doesn't look like a myth to me.
And you have only 6 size so you should be easy to summon.

EDIT: Oh wait, it's tackle... but still...

Still, almost 2/3 of the attempts fail. Also, with standard size of 12 it could be even more than 2/3. But it's just tackle for now, let's wait and see demesne summon results...

EDIT: This rooting seems to give huge resistance. I wonder if Cloak (I think it's Cosmic) is similar in that matter.

We're not done testing yet. The demesne summon is the key part. No one's about to test it with. Will'o'wisp results for me up, Mit coming soon.

EDIT: Willowisp result up for me, but Mit went to sleep, so I'll bother him tomorrow and get it finished. dry.gif

One test was conducted in a swamp, one in a river. So there's no difference. The demesne summon tests we're doing now are in a wasteland.

I'm pretty sure tackle is based on the strength of the attacker as compared to the size of the defender. Just for clarification of that

Though you may find it interesting to know that the damage dealt is based on the attacker's size rather than strength...

Thanks to Kariol. It appears that neither tackle nor barge does damage. Only Charge do. Also it appears that you can still spam barge/charge as long as your target resists.

Oops, that's the skill I was thinking of. Bigger size attacker == more damage with charge.

And I believe you will find spiritbond rock only works in the mountains possibly. At least thats where I seem to remember I was told it only worked.

Well, if you look at Totem bonding. Sun can only bond in the morning and will only work in the day time, Night/Moon are only bondable at night and also only work at night, same with River in regard to water, and Tree. So obviously Rock should only work if you're standing in the mountain area. Which comes down to that Nature Rooting is overpowered and should be removed! angry.gif

In retrospect, I really should have tested this on some theoretical Furrikin Celestine with malkuth and cloak. doh.gif

EDIT: Though it is interesting to note that Lowmagic Red, on its own, apparently gives an average of a 1% resistance rate to summoning. Is that a bug, or what?

I'd want to se a few more tests done before we jump to that conclusion, but yeah, looks buggy from what you've done so far.
