I'd like to warn everyone that if they use a computer in a hotel to ALWAYS make sure you delete all of your information off of msn and everywhere else. I stayed in a hotel on a school trip in May and apparently msn saved my email address in the drop down box, so now I have someone named Billy Bob sending me IMs. Since everyone has been travelling these past few weeks I'd like you all to be wary of using public computers, so no evil rapists get your email addresses and other possible things.

Aye, i always just take my laptop. I have a wireless card and most hotels have free wireless internet. Then, i don't have to worry bout having my stuff saved on other computers than my own.

I never ever sign into AIM or MSN when I'm away because of that. I hate the thought that weirdos can get my email address. You can just block them every time they add you, a pain but not much else you can do.

I use aim express when using a public computer. As long as you actually sign off (not just closing the window or shutting off the computer) I don't beleive it saves your screen name. Or, if it does, its never come back to bite me. And, as I do it at college, you'd think it'd come back to bite me with all the idiots that actually manage to get into college.

Edit: I dont know anything about MSN messanger, so no problems there I guess...

This is one of the problems with MSN using your damned email address instead of a user name of some sort.

I'll second that one myself! Express AIM is totally the way to go, and there is indeed one for MSN too.

I've been fine when I've ... killed the cookies!

Or something like that, with AOL's site (yes, speaking of pureevil...). Logout, quit the broswer, restart the browser and return to the site, make sure it's gone or make it more dead/gone if it's still lingering, rinse and repeat.

Actually, I just wanted to use the phrase "Kill the cookies!" ... halo.gif
