The Charites asked us for new patterns, and I believe we submitted quite a few. Are they going to add any of them in, or not?

They only asked for the noun, but I'd be more than happy to knock together the whole base item if they're overworked or something.

Nah, not designs, -patterns-. I've never seen them approve one.

I meant why they may be so busy.

They've never approved one in the three months since they asked. I don't think it has anything to do with designs.

And between you and I Ialie, we make up a -large- portion of the design slots.

Ahah! so one of those must be the wedding ring Revan designed me!

As far as patterns for some jewelry items I queried this recently:

Psh, well, they asked for them. I want my scythe/sickle/pan/iron bar.

Sickles already exist. They are a druid's sacred symbol and I doubt forgers could make them.

Sickles are also used to harvest crops.

And scythes are held by Death, and pans are used by cooks, and bars are frequented by people who make uneducated replies to my posts.

There's Death personified in Lusternia?

My point was that sickles in Lusternia are created from a blossoming bud summoned by a druid (and whatever equivalent the blacktalon have). Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it will become a generic forging pattern, just like athames, cudgels and coral and earthen staves wouldn't.

I'd like to see Jackets for tailoring, please.

No jackets. We have coats, jackets are too slouchy new-type. Coats and tunics ought to be fine. Though if they want to be serious about the medieval things, they really ought to put chemises and drawers in.

Not commonly. Tunics and coats and cloaks were much more common. Jackets may been fashionable in England (none of which could seriously be called medieval, given it had different names back then) but most of the medieval things I read make no mention of jackets.

And no matter what arguments you make, I still don't think jackets are appropriate.

jackets were traditionaly around towards the end of period and
were worn by the males of the middle class, manor lords and such.
the word itself I believe is french, but I'm not sure. meh
either way I want it and I think i'll stop posting on it.
