Lusternia has a new client to use. Its most noticeable features are a friendlier UI, more real-time updates of player vital stats, and graphical character creation. A test version is out there now, an exclusive for you forums users. Head over to here and click the link to give it a try.

Awesome.
Let's just skip a middle ground and make a graphical IRE MMORPG. Get on it, Roark!

Ah, so that's why Est was gathering "hints".
I made a newbie solely for the creation purposes. Needlessly said, it's friggin' awesome. I absolutely 100% love it. The colors go well together, as far as the layout is concerned. I like the stat-bar setup, as well. The whole reflex bit is just awesome, IMO.
I'm curious how it's loaded, though - will it remember specific characters? Or is it a cookies thing? Or...?
The Terminal options is nice, font size, etc. The directional thing upper-mid left is cool, too! And the fact it displays the room name over the text field is just awesome!

The billion dollar question: can we finally copy/paste?
Estarra2005-08-10 23:46:52
Note the compass should show what exits are in a room.
You can also move by clicking on the compass points!
The biggest advantage (in my opinion) over the old java is that you can copy text!

It's all Java. Your settings are saved on the server and so go with you wherever you go, though that is how the old inferior Java client worked as well.

SWEET!!
Yea, the compass is nice. It's an advantage for me with my tablet, since I sacrificed the numpad for the touch-screen.
Corr2005-08-10 23:48:36
Wow!...
Where is our copy and paste?
Thank you for the #if, and #beep.

I never used the old java for anything but logging in and checking messages, and throwing up a few macros when necessary, heh.
But, it's cool. I love it. Truely.

Aeyr and Roark are the ones to thank.
Thank them lots!

Woah, that thing looks so good, it could be a sin.

Agreed!
To Aeyr and Roark!
(We all know Roark did the HARD work, though!)

I used java all the time for editing text, but I could never copy/paste. This should be amazing.
Corr2005-08-10 23:53:51
Just to be more helpfull.. when I rightclick and say "copy to new window" it says to use Cntrl+c... but when I do Cntrl+V it pastes something else entirely...
The make trigger function however, works great.

I saw your post, Roark! You sly dog you.
Corr2005-08-10 23:55:41
Nevermind, I see how it works now... not very intuitive...
Shiri2005-08-10 23:57:31
Okay, is there somewhere I can find help on this? "Find Nexus Help" = fail.
(Damn, the text went right to the bottom. Still, non sucky client = good. )

It obviously doesn't beat my zmud, but DAMN is it cool...it easily surpasses Achaea's Nexus version, with all the Lusternia-specific stuff, good work!
