My character is a Lucidian, I love being a Lucidian it's
fun, I'm a walking talking rock. But with all the guild/race emotes
popping up I was trying to think up of something of unique to my race
and stumbled. Well i'll keep working at the Lucidian emote
but I was wondering if anyone could think up a nice
50+ skill for Lucidians,or just a natural ability for them.
because all the ones I thought of idearing were lame.
so far ive thought up.
The ability to eat minerals and gems, mmm Amethyst cookies.
Maybe have them act like herbs?
the ability to release that stored sun light as a type of light
available in different colours?
Eyod mes'ard, Moondust's Sage is here, He is surrounded by a nimbus of blue light.
Produce a shard of glowing crystal from the body, that can be pointed like a wand
to release sparks of light or thrown at a person or direction explode as light
like a firecracker.
The abilitiy to fire crystal spikes from the body, either at everyone or a single
target, or maybe a burst of magic or light. really just a roleplay device thing.
the ability to move through the soil easily, essentially the same as groundhog
only without the groundhog.
Thats the best I got, anyone else?

I like the shining one. It'd be cute.

The light one is okay - as to gems, it would be more trouble than it's worth. And I'm against the burrowing thing - besides the fact that it makes no sense.
The light *IS* cute, though. Hopefully not too hard to code, either.

If I ever make sense it's only by coincidence

I fixed the title cause I'm like that.
Neat ideas though.

maybe the light could do something as fire damage, not really useful against others, but causes the flammable to burn, for rp causes...
Unknown2005-08-12 10:48:19
Not fire damage. Lucidians are a cold, logical race, living in the City of Wind. Why would they use fire - when they are melted by the fire of Dracnari pyromancers?
Tenebrae2005-08-12 12:12:17
then cold damage instead?
Shiri2005-08-12 12:14:30
How in the world could light ever be expected to do cold damage?

Maybe they ionized the air around them, seperated the nitrogen from the rest of the air, lowered its temperature, and - Oh wait. Nevermind. That's FMA.

I thought they raised its temperature. Have to rewatch that episode.

Well, in THAT episode, yea. I just used the same concept.
She ionized the air around the pendant, heated it up, then cooled it rapidly - causing a shockwave.

I would have thought that instead of storing light, they would be able to maybe focus the sun's light into a focused beam that could light things on fire and burn people. Except when used on other lucidians it would diffract and have no effect.
