Okay, all this 'design' stuff is confusing me and I don't feel like pissing off both Nyla (Who made the pattern) and the Charites in one fell swoop.
My biggest question is what we're supposed to put in the part of each design command. So far I've assumed we just put the number of an object that is the same type.
For example, I'm currently trying to submit a design for a book. There is already a book with the number '598', so I figure I just pop that in and go from there.
Now, will entering this series of commands result in me successfully submitting the design or will I send the very system toppling into the void?

Upon the cover of the book is the image of the Mighty Scourge of Glomdoring etched in silver leafing, His talons poised and ready to strike. Crafted from onyx, one of the talons stretches out latching the book shut from prying eyes. Its soft pages have been threaded with strands of silver that shimmer like stars in the bosom of Mother Night.

Oh, and a wierd thing:
Why is the ID different? Am I just completely worthless at this?

Okay, when I entered all that at once, I got:

As for the IDs being different, that's just because a smooth leather book is a base pattern. The pattern to make it is 607, but when you request that pattern to edit and submit, you have to reference it by 598.
Type DESIGN and check out the commands. You first have to DESIGN REQUEST 598 FOR (cartelname). Then check DESIGN LIST (cartel name) and look at that design's new number, then you edit it.
