i would love to see a new wiccan group (preferably sun because the others have female spirits) that get more ritualistic abilities.
with the moon and shadowdancers there appears to be fairly simple rituals (i know i may get hurted for this) but i would like to see a new wiccan group who gets a mastery skill with skills like below.
raisecircle: creates a protective circle around the wiccans within which can be bound the powers they attempt to call on. (becomes a requirement for the more powerfull rituals aswell as a small defense)
call: allows the wiccan to call a spirit or reflection (such as the crone for moon) to manifest within a circle.
invocation: the wiccan allows a spirit to act through them while within the circle.
call and invocation would work like channel in achaea. so some rituals would require a spirit to dwell in the adventurer while others require a physical presence
skills similar to the other guilds would then be cast similarly.
so for example
this may seem annoying when compared to the other skills but it's more realistic, while some enjoy the easy way in which they work now.
It would mean that some rituals could be harder, but with the effort more rewarding.
then again there could be a new skill set of somethingotherthanrituals(i mean't that) maybe hermetica or something
for example the coven (or whatever) could choose a champion that could then be the focus of their magics. (sorta like rage but focusing on helping the champion)
just think of Narsrim and Kaervas battling while two covens(again... or whatever) focus their energy on those two. a third coven then forms to undermine one of them possibly leading to a battle where by the covens are more or less fighting as one person.
best part: forcing players to focus on team work and communication hopefully then leading to stronger more intense battles where improper group training could lead to death
sorry for waffling but if you find a point and good idea there... yay

sorry for the title. i was going to post about them but changed my mind and forgot the title

QUOTE
Sam calls the coven to join hands
Sam raises a ritual circle around the coven protecting those within and without.
Tom calls the spirit of the Sun within the circle
May calls the spirit of the Moon within the circle
Will calls the spirit of the tree within the circle
Sam directs his attention to the spirit of the tree asking it to bring the body of Bob(hehe my best friend in school). He leads the coven in speakig the blessings of Father Sun and Mother Moon to return their child, to walk once more with the living.

I think you've got some great ideas. Dido to what Saran said.

hmm, this thread seems like it's going to slowly die.
Heh though of another possiblility. should the skillset be (implemented) available to all, there might be skills possible during certain conditions (similar to the eroee rituals) which cities/communes could perform on themselves for some gain, failing to do so could leave them minus a defense or bonus for however long

i wanted to add that i was thinking the skills would be reliant on simple quests.
For example you would have to go out and find the spirits you want to summon. some obviously would be easier for a city or commune.
so for example you might have the ability to perform the Esbat Ritual(full moon dealio) but until you go and learn to either perform the chants, invoke/summon the spirits, etc you can't but you also don't need to if you have someone else in the circle to do it.
