Ackleberry aligned to Glom or Seren....

Alright... I have to ask this of everyone because this entire thought completely and utterly disturbs me... More so than Glom being semi-aligned to Mag, and Seren being semi-aligned to Celest.... If Ackleberry returns to end up taking one of the other Communes sides over the other -in this Faethorn thing- I am going to go stark raving mad and start murdering people.... I censor.gif you not...

How many other people acctually think similar, maybe not about the stark raving mad part, but that Ackleberry should acctually have its own thing...?

Edit: Language -Richer

wacko.gif ignore this post, I was slightly confused
Unknown2005-08-22 15:27:27
Er, wow. I can't see what you're trying to say. If Ackleberry WASN'T allied to the Wilde... No, I just can't see it. That's like saying Faethorn and the Wilde are mortal enemies. It just won't happen. Two untainted, total fine forests, who have a HISTORY of working together, will get along. glom/ackle, however, would never happen, assuming it returned in the same state it left.
Suhnaye2005-08-22 15:28:59
*Dies* Serenwilde is FANATICAL!!!! Its as completely opposed to Ackleberry as Glomdoring!

-Edit- Now that I've calmed down I'll add a little to that so Serens don't kill me... Ackleberry, for what I understand it, will likely not be completely untouched by the taint/what it was before the Taint war. If it is, I'll be dissapointed, further, while Ackleberry was aligned to Serenwilde and Gloriana before the taint war, Serenwilde was not a Fanatical superpower back then, and Gloriana was not a taint-blind commune of insane faelings...
Nayl2005-08-22 15:30:46
I'd say that when it comes out, you'll find out.
Unknown2005-08-22 15:31:50
WHY would it be opposed to Ackleberry? I can't see how that makes sense. Ackleberry left, and Serenwilde was going to do the exact same thing, unless the Taint stopped. And it did stop.

I don't understand your logic. I mean, no offense. Can you try to explain why we (the Wilde) would be opposed to a forest we've lived next to and loved and gotten along with peachily for many, many centuries? A forest with a nexus our predecessors planted? A forest untouched by Kethuru?
Suhnaye2005-08-22 15:35:32
Neither Serenwilde or Glomdoring would be opposed to Ackleberry, I'm saying Ackleberry would be opposed to them

I have no doubt both Serenwilde and Glomdoring would be thrilled to have Ackleberry as a friend

Ackleberry sundered itself before the taint reached it. It would make perfect sense for them to be completely untouched by the Taint. It would also stand to reason that they are far more fanatical against the taint than Serenwilde due to the fact they sundered themselves to keep the taint from them. -IF- Ackleberry comes back it is quite likely they would see the taint around them and be more prone to anger towards it than Serenwilde who hates the taint but has lived with it.

...Why would Ackleberry be opposed to them, then?

"Hi! You've not really changed at ALL over the past two hundred years since we left, but, jeez, we're gonna go hang with the people who are corrupted and diseased, victims of the very thing we fled to avoid happening to us! But you're all steadfast that the thing that was killing Nature is, well, killing Nature, and it kinna is, although it's a wierd situation but it's the touch of the Soulless which falls into the category of Devestation brought by the Soulless, and we kind of were created with the purpose of Healing Lusternia from the poisoning caused by the Soulless we've trapped beneath the surfaces. *snuggly Crow* Ow! MY EYE! Silly Crow. Wanna cookie? *hug*"

... Yea, I see that. Makes lots of sense. Thanks for opening my eyes.

I am guessing that like Glomdoring, The politics and story of ackleberry is goigng to be completely unexpected. Speculation here is almost a waste of time.

Precisely. I don't know where people are getting this idea from, but before the Taint got to Ackleberry, they totally removed their forest from reality. There was not an ounce of Taint in it. If the Taint had kept moving, as I said, Serenwilde would, as well, be gone.
Stangmar2005-08-22 15:41:06
aye, it will be serens, unless some BIG HUGE event happens when it returns. And it could happen, i mean, who expected that glomdoring would be blind to the taint? result of big Kethuru event.

That would be depressing. Honestly, if they brought Ackleberry back all snuggly-wuggly with Magnagora and Glomdoring, I'd probably set out to destroy the Internet, solely to save us all from the idiotic and wanton destruction of roleplaying.

Thankfully, I've more faith in Estarra than that.
Galatae2005-08-22 15:42:19
Agreed with Ialie.

Also, from an OOC perspective, I'd love to have Ackleberry back. From an IC perspective, Josun will likely see it as more forest that isn't Glomdoring, and therefore another pain.
Unknown2005-08-22 15:42:26
I'm going to offer my brief view on this thread.

A Glomdoring member is trying to come up with a reason for Ackleberry to hate the Wilde and ally with the Glomdoring.

Why, I don't know. I doubt more than five or six of us (at least, as mortals) will be left when it finally comes around.

THAT'S what I'm expecting from Glomdoring, which seems to make most sense, at least to me.

No offense to Glomdoring, but it's the odd-man-out, as far as Communes go. Not the Wilde.
Suhnaye2005-08-22 15:46:13
Before it was sundered from reality it had been invaded, it wasn't tainted, but everything was not peachy in the forest.

Also, Serenwilde has changed MASSIVELY since before the taint wars... It might not be tainted, but it has changed.

However I agree that they will be more friendly toward Serenwilde than Glomdoring, probably willing to trade. But in that regard they'd be just as likely to be friendly, or communicative with any of the societys till some of em gave them a reason not to be... After all, as was pointed out, Ackleberrys not lived through the past several decades to see massive wars between good and evil, they really wouldn't be influenced one way or another by it all.

Never call me a Glomdoring member again, your showing you -lack- of intelligence.
Stangmar2005-08-22 15:49:16
the only bad thing is, it's going to turn out to be 3 vs. 2 either way it swings. THINK OF THE BALANCE!
Unknown2005-08-22 15:50:49
No, Ackleberry will ally with Kethuru. I mean, he's all alone. (wait, he's got Isune doesn't he?)
