Ok, I just died twice due to the Avenger being screwy. Here is a run down of the situation:

Given:

- I had suspect on Tsakar

- I travelled to Ladantine where Tsakar was

- I'm enemied to Ladantine

- Tsakar attacks me

--------------------------

Once Tsakar attacks me (enemy territory or not), she should lose suspect; however, that is not the case. She was able to attack me and still -use suspect- so I could not attack back. What is up with this?
Murphy2005-08-24 05:32:14
yeh thats happened to me too, It's utter crap and should be changed -rally-
Narsrim2005-08-24 05:33:15
I seriously sat there (ok, this was a bit stupid on my part but none the less) thinking... who is she using chasm on because I still cannot attack her so that means it isn't me...
Unknown2005-08-24 05:34:53
LoL. That is unfair, but still, it makes me giggle like a pre-teen girl.
Murphy2005-08-24 05:35:23
hahahahahhahaa I want to see a log of that.

I'm pretty sure this was fixed ages and ages and ages ago.
Tsakar2005-08-24 11:56:42
If suspect was stopping you from attacking me the time at Ladantine, why wasn't it stopping you from aeoning me on Nil a couple days ago? As far as I can remember I had suspect on you from a time before that, not from then. Course I could be wrong, but either way I agree that should be fixed if thats the case

Edit: Erm, Forgot about Avenger ignoring outer planes, but as I said I agree, I was surprised that I still had suspect on Narsrim after attacking him to stop him from killing Ladantine. Believe I can remember it going away for others I had suspect on from raids when I attacked them later on when they came back again

Avenger doesn't affect anything off-Prime.

Nil != Prime.

Exceptions: The Avenger will NOT protect you if you die on another plane.
Travel to other planes at your own risk. Also, the Avenger will NOT
protect you if you enter territory where you've been declared an enemy.
Nayl2005-08-24 11:58:21
Avenger doesn't give a toss about Off-Plane.

There's something fishy with that sea. Fishy. No pun intended.

I've had the same thing happen to me. I went there, Rakor attacks me first and I couldn't return the favour. I even said to him, 'HEY, I can't attack you. You seem to be protected, Mister'. He smiles and says that he understands and that he's seen it happen to someone else as he happily continues to smite away. I then proceeded to leave.

The Avenger will not protect you if you are in enemied territory. Thus, if Tsakar attacks you, and you're in enemy territory, it's as if you've declared against all defenders. In otherwords, people in enemy territory can be attacked freely by anyone, and those attacking suffer no consequences. That's how it's always worked.

I remember Torak complaining about this exact same thing happening to him in one of the mining villages. The defenders could attack him, but he couldn't fight back without getting suspect. It was then changed by Estarra and Roark.
