Ok, I know a few of you play in other worlds. I myself play in several. I've dubbed myself, "Queen of the Undercover Geeks" since almost none of my friends know about all of my RPG's and such.
Armageddon, Lusternia, Sorta Imperian, A Vampire:tM LARP, Vampire:tR TT, Werewolf:tF, I collect Magic:tG cards and dabble with Yugioh and DnD even though I don't have a clue what I'm doing.
At the moment, the biggest problem I have is confusing the new Vampire rules and lore with the old and the LARP with the TT's rules. Now, I find myself learning about Lusty and I'm glad I haven't slipped up with that yet. I don't know how people do it. I know folks who can recite stats and info from a DnD book word by word.
So, if anyone has any funny stories about mix-ups or anything, I'd love to hear them. Or anything else for that matter. I know I'm not the only one bored at work.
Heh, I'll even start. I haven't messed up bad in Lusty yet, so I have a short DnD mistake to share - it may not be funny, but its to get the ball rolling. I was playing a Cleric of some death god and I had the power Death touch. So, my character touched someone thinking she would instantly kill then. The DM didn't tell me it was dependant on level or something, so I basically just pinched my victim and I was left looking dumb. Hehe, it was funnier if you were there. You guys' turn.

I don't.
Oh wait, you mean the RPGs. Iunno. I sometimes make notes as to what all of my characters are doing and things like that. But I also have a mind for multitasking - the double edged blade of ADD.

Our generation, with mobiles, games, TV and multitabbed browsing has become one that can concentrate on five things at once for long periods of time.

I wish I were female, they're brains are better suited to multitasking. Something about a thicker...thingy that connects the two hemispheres, and better formed pathways.

They're real preeeety like. Huhuh.

EDIT: Task! I can't "task".

I swear this "females are better than multitasking" thing is an exaggeration. I'm better at it than a lot of the girls I know. Meh.

Nope nope, studies have demonstrated the truth of it. Just as guys, when they hit puberty, are generally better with mechanical and geometrical type information processing, guys tend to automatically lock their wrists when they throw, unlike girls, and guys are better able to concentrate on a single task.
Also, girls are more naturally inclined to accept blame unto themselves, whereas a male will usually feel little need for self-inflicted guilt.
I take all this information from a documentary I watched on the ABC, so clearly it is true.

Yea, I'm pretty good with Multi-tasking myself. I guess my problem is that I'm starting all of these things at almost the same exact time.
At work, that's the best for me because I get distracted sooooo easily. I have to stay busy. My gramma always suspected that I have the ADD and I guess I don't want to admit to it. I just call it Hyper-activity short attention span syndrone. Theres no need to pop pills - just give me things to do.

Erion has never once 'kept it straight' in his entire life.

That's not what his cousin says.

No wonder the mods don't like me. You're all making me out to be some cousin boinker. God. Don't you realize I'm so much DEEPER than that? So shallow.

All I'm saying is, gay men's brain activity jumps when they smell male pherimones (sp?) and testosterone - heterosexual men's do not. Straight females react similiarly, and lesbians react closer to straight men. Who's to say the brain similarities/differences end there? Gay men tend to be more artistic, while straights tend to be more autistic. (ahahaha I made a funny).
I'm not saying it's a 100% artistic men are gay. But, if you look at the number of serious male artists, a large portion are gay men, while a large portion of the females are straight/bi, and those that are lesbian, they're very not-dyke. It's more of a social thing for them, I guess.
All speculation, of course. I guesss that goes into another conversation.

Unknown2005-08-30 06:42:35
lotsa notes and actually being awake when you're doing you RP seems to help me... Yeah, I should sleep more. So notes are very nice for me. Sleep. Sleep good.

I am better at multitasking than most men, many woman and one OS.
Years of training.
