Alright ive been kickin this idea about in my head for a while
and since that other tarot thread popped up I figured I may as
well post this and see what people think.
Firstly, I thought this skill would use a few of
the already existing skill in order to give a brief
"vision" of the future or past.
I was thinking, Tarot users can read cards
runists can cast runes, Astrologests can read
the stars and possible the psionists get
clairvoyance.
for the most part these visions would just be
like dreams in that they are prerecorded
messages created by the divine.
I also thought they would be environment contextual
so where you were may cause a specific vision.
(say, casting runes at a shrine might reveal a vision
left by the god in question, or casting runes at the nature
seal might give brief vision of Viravains transformation)
now for the useful part, if you read your future
in a quest area, you might get a rather vague hint
from a list of precreated hints at random.
So you might get something useful or a something
you already knew.
of course not everyone has runes/astrology/blah
so to make it fair add a special recipe for
fortune cookies!
you take them to where you want to use them
crack them and your fortune flies out.
i'm thinking maybe only useable once a day in a quest
room and anytime for just general visioning for rp and such.
useful or useless?

Good idea...just so long as they're sufficiantly vague, like the stuff the fates told the Magnagorans before Cosmic Hope.

heh
cooks then can make the cookies, and the fortunes can be put in by someone else... Think about it, the cookies can be filled with explosives, or healing magik..
Tharoid cracks a cookie against his wrist, and the room suddenly goes dark as a rush of blackness sweeps Amaru off his feet.

Why do you talk
like this? It's seriously kind
of irritating. It really does drive
some people crazy, you know?

And neat idea too.

I always thought it was just that he was pressing enter at the end of every line on the "add reply" screen rather than just carrying on typing and letting it carry over. Not sure though.

That's an interesting idea, but this looks like it's way too big for that. It doesn't seem to
be working, IMO. That seems like, twice the size of Eyod's. Which maintains my belief
he's doing it on purpose, which is just really, really, REALLY (yea, it's just REALLY)
wierd.

Very good. You may all stand in My presence, for now.
Eyod2005-09-03 02:45:07
secondly it's because I use a plugin to send messages to the forum, it has a line length. Ive turned this off now since you're all so increadibly anal about the composition of text, so if this annoys you even more you brought it on yourselves.
now then, please continue.
Unknown2005-09-03 05:48:03
Oh no, I'm the anal one. It just really bugged me. I didn't care that it was doing it, just curious as to why, or if it was on purpose. But I see nothing wrong with it as-is.
