So, I wasted 30 power trying to gateweave with someone who refused to read the AB file beforehand and realise that he needed to do it too, and NOT do random other actions afterwards...

But what can you actually do while gateweaving?

Is gateweave like echanting a statue? Do you get messages every once in a while to know if it's still going on or if you broke it somehow?

Has anybody ever tried to create gates to a manse? I was gonna have Tully try it with Richter, but I don't have 2000 mana.

Has anybody ever tried to create a rift when flying? (Oops, don't go in that rift, it's a long drop!)

Has anybody ever tried to create a rift deep under water?

Has anybody ever tried to create a rift while buried or in the trees?

Rifts have to be on "ground" elevation. Thus, you could build one at the bottom of the Ocean, but not in trees or the air. Furthermore, you cannot connect rifts to the Aetherways.

Richter had this big agenda to make rifts to each Astrosphere in Deepnight. That got shot down.
