Gamers without a Shinra Company membership or a ticket to the screening can still pick up Advent Children and watch it in the comfort of their own homes on September 14, when the DVD and UMD versions hit Japan and North America simultaneously. Both formats of the film will cost $29.99. More information can be found in GameSpot's preview.

Where'd you guys reserve it?
And I say someone rich send us all to the opening screening. A couple of plane tickets overseas isn't thaaaat much.

My friend reserved one for me, actually. I'll call when he gets off work.
And, even if Richter/Estarra bought us all plane tickets - the opening screening was yesterday. And, it was for Shinra members only. LAME.

I still haven't played FF VII though. Which is really sad, because I was excited about the other Final Fantasy movie, and then almost slit my wrists when I actually watched it. It was very depressing (not in the sense of a good movie).
When is it released? Maybe I can play the game really fast.

mhm.. It looks like a good time to pull the "Daddy.. will you buy me this?" and the puppydog eyes.
Being the youngest child owns.
Someone send me a link to reserve it or I'll cry.

From what I've heard most people max out their timers at 99 hours, so if I didn't eat, drink, sleep, or perform normal cyclical functions, I could have it done. It's too bad I have two jobs now. Oh well, I just watch the movie first.
Richter2005-09-10 01:05:13
PLAY THE GAME.
Shiri2005-09-10 01:05:45
Hmm. Anyone have any idea when I'll be able to watch this in England?
Unknown2005-09-10 01:07:28
The story line is pretty simple.
Cloud's kickin'. He's so hott, too. Vincent, three. And this chick, Aeris, is the last living Ancient - and she's all cool, and sleeps with Cloud, then this dude, Sephiroth, a Shinra experiment, finds out what he is (an experiment) and goes nuts, and starts killing people - like Aeris.
Cloud kills him, and his mother, Jenova. <3
Then Cloud goes off and lives away from humanity, and society crumbles because they've relied on Mako, which is basically the essence of Gaia.

I don't have a Playstation... and I don't think any of the game stores near my house have FF7 for the PC (if it's even one of the games that came out for PC) and even if they did I don't have time to play it except Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. There aren't enough hours in the day.
Edit -- Re YoLF: I was following until the part about Mako. You didn't mention it until the last sentence. What happened to it?

It is quite possibly the best game ever made.
...the box says so!
And mako is the lifeforce of the planet, and the Shinra company has giant reactors that suck it out, and it's killing the planet. As with all Final Fantasy games, you go from a small conflict, to saving the world.
At least this doesn't have some godawful surprise boss that makes no sense at the end. Like FF9. *glare*

Ooh! I'll just go read a walkthru at Gamefaqs. One with spoilers. I can manage that in about 30 minutes to an hour, if that long. Then I will have the requisite knowledge until I get to play the game.
Was it better than FF3/6 though? That was a lovely game. It's the one Guido's avatar came from.
