Hey guys,
Don't post often but I need a hand, I'm current using a program called your freedom to access Lusternia due to the fact that my schools proxy server is HTTP only with no SOCKS support and I can't connect out to Lusternia from behind a proxy without SOCKS support.
I'm looking for a way to tunnel my connection out reliably and quite quickly, I've done it before on other proxy servers using programs like desproxy and proxycap with excellent speed but this one only allows HTTPS through port 445 so I'm knackered when it comes to using them again... (The HTTP proxy doesn't support the CONNECT command for those of you who know what that means, so without SOCKS or CONNECT I get no connection to anything)
Anyone have a solution to my problem?
(HTTP2TELNET from www.mosha.net works okish but drops 20% of all the commands so they never even reach Lusternia, so that's also a pretty bad option)
Thanks,
Chade

ProxyCap enables you to tunnel Internet applications through HTTP, SOCKS v4, and SOCKS v5 Proxy Servers...
If you want to go with a zmudless(ie telnet, not great for fighting) you can try putty(google for it). Putty lets windows connect via SSH(port 22 by default) to a linux server. Ofcourse, you would need to find a server to SSH into, but from there you could telnet out.

If your school has a Computer Science department, it is likely that they have linux servers which you can log into via Putty. In many cases, you need to have a student login that can be set up in their computer lab, and usually doesn't require you to be a Computer Science major either.

Sorry to necro, but i have a similar problem and found a solution called Tor. It took care of both clients, and it's not limited to 15 hours a day and it could be a bit slow for things other than MUD's but works fine.
No, this isn't a spam bot either
