Just curious, since the game seems kind of empty somehow without the villages going up, but that's just me, and I know lots of people prefer the calm and villages coming up only rarely.

Average revolts and average influencing.
Shiri2005-09-15 14:13:51
Well, I'm talking about if people preferred hi-activity villages like we had before, or lo-activity villages like we have now. I'd rather villages last both a long time (I hate them being over in 20 minutes, and I always miss them that way because they have to happen in the 8 hour periods I'm asleep or not at the computer for some other reason), and revolt frequently (hey, it's more fun that way.) This kind of slowness isn't fun for me. Of course, people have been expressing their happiness in how they don't always seem to log in to revolted villages anymore.
Seems people are with me for now - 2-2-1-1. But we'll see what people think in general later.

Permant distort? Permanent distort? What are you talking about?
EDIT: Ah, you meant you would prefer to have hi-activity villages until permanent distort is altered so you can raid more easily, right?
Unknown2005-09-15 14:24:01
Sorry for my typo, I still haven't awoken fully this morning. Yes I would like to have hi-activity villages, until the Permanent distort was removed
Shamarah2005-09-15 23:28:33
Quick, high activity villages because it's more exciting that way!
And by quick I don't mean 20 minutes, I mean 1-2 hours. Long I would take as meaning more than that...

Till permanent distort is brought down to 1 to 2 hours i would like more frequent villages and i wish they were not 3 hours long. I get bored at times and villages that arnt peaced seem to be alot of fun.

I concur.
Shiri2005-09-16 04:50:54
Seems like people preferred the frequent influencing - 18 people compared to 10. I concur with Shamarah by the way. 1-2 hours is fine.

No it's not fun.

It's not fun, I think Ekard's right.

And get rid of conglutination.
Cwin2005-09-24 23:25:18
Why remove Conglut? At the moment, Combat is made to be a means to an end: You get the person out of the way for a while. A few minutes while they redef and return along with the lost power should be enough to take advantage of. The exp penalty would be overkill I think.
Now removing Sanctuary (and Crusade in that case), since a good set of villages do revolt in peace, might be a better option.

It's not fun in the least. Some of us really have better things to do than influence all the time.
It was fun back at the start. A year later, I'm just sick of it.

We're not influencing things "all the time," though. I think lengthening the time span between revolts was a great idea. I'd like to have the length of time that the village is in play extend a bit, though. If the average was 3-5 hours, I'd be happy. Nothing like the old days, where we pushed villages for 10-20 hours fairly consistently, but still long enough to get all four organizations in there brawling.
Shiri2005-09-25 03:00:02
Yeah...I think it should either be long and rare, or frequent and often. Too little is boring, too much is tiring for everyone that doesn't enjoy it.
Tsuki2005-09-25 06:48:21
What defines "frequent" compared to "rare"? And "short" compared to "long"?
Influencings to take between 1-3 hours.
Per RL week, between 0-2 villages open.
