The skill Defence in riding, does it protect you from a percentage of damage, or does it just increse the change of warriors missing you? unsure.gif

Increases the chance of them missing you. Unfortunately, it is extremely easy to knock a person off his mount. So easy, that is it a lot of times not even worth the effort to try to remain mounted.

Yeah I had always wondered how good defence was in riding. I mean I got it just to look cool mounted and have a reason to say why I was. But the fact remains that if your paralyzed you somehow fall off your mount as well as tons of other afflictions which is quite dumb and ruins the whole purpose of the Riding skill.

I think it should be reworked to make it a little more useful.

Because forcing your opponent to kneel with an angel then trampling them is quite fun smile.gif

It's far too easy to get knocked off your mount, so I don't usually try to use the supposed extra defence afforded to me by my mount.

Idea: Make it so that the higher you are in riding, the harder it is for you to get knocked off.

I dont fall off my mount when paralyzed.

You should fall off more easily when paralyzed!

Add in different kinds of saddles for riding on! 'Standard' ones, that don't do much more than make things comforatable and look nice, war saddles with straps and prongs to help hold you on MUCH better, specialty saddles that enhance certain riding aspects a wee bit. Spiked doom-saddles that increase the damage dealt by jousting or ramming by a bit. Put them all in tailoring and have them customizable. That would be very nice.

Yeah higher riding skill should afford you less chance to fall off or get knocked to the ground, as it should make sense because your higher above the ground and more manuverability yah know?

Yeah, you don't get dismounted when you get paralyzed. But I just gust anyone that I don't like being mounted, works like a charm. biggrin.gif
