From what I've seen, the DS should be vasty inferior to the PSP. However, I hear that new Kirby game rocks.

Not many "great" DS games are out yet so I'd stick to some older Game Boy Advance games. However, this new Castlevania game is coming out, Lunar: Dragon Song (If you're a fan of the series), Mario And Luigi 2, and a bit of other stuff in the future (Xenosaga I and II in DS form).
DS probably won't shine for awhile, unfortunately. I'd give it a few months for developers to really pick up on it.

I forget if the PSP has wireless.
I do know that when the DS was released it didn't (so if it does... hmm)
And the DS may not truly shine unless the Revolution can come out with some great games that link the two. Which should happen as Nintendo are designing the Revolution to be the easiest console to code for, while Sony are trying to make it so the games made for PS3 may only be for the PS3.

Yea... Mario was cool and all, mostly cause you play as Yoshi, and he is the only reason to get your Mario Party on... the pictochat and touch pad thing are nice...
Ok, so I took it back today, it has one huge flaw, it only plays gba games on single player mode, which nerfed my entire gba library of 5 games, 3 of which are castlevania. DS was just "ok", sure I would love Animal Crossing portable but... 130$ for say... another 5 games, nope.
Thanks for all your replies and such, I for one, will wait on PSP, and a portable rpg.

i wanna see wireless hotspots for rpgs.
*WARNING* Talking about a game idea i have *WARNING*
I really want to make this game where you buy a console version which links you to a "magic" realm (where you play the majority of the game) perhaps online, at least multi, hopefully not single though.
But with the companies portable device you can go out to netcafes, game shops etc. sit down, link up to a hot spot and fight, trade, etc. not pokemon style cause the places willing to pay a little could have special dungeons and the like.

hm...my campus is wireless 100%... rapscallion+iBook G4... Lusternia...
I like your idea, they could do it on PSP or DS if they wanted to -really- bad.
Me? I want multiplayer-uber customisable --FOR THE HARDCIRE FANS-- editions of Romance of the 3 kingdoms and Dynasty Warrios online.
RTK10 just isn't hardcore enough for me... I still felt limited.
