So besides me and Stangmar, anyone else in Utah?
Stangmar2005-09-17 15:55:36
Woooo! Utah rules!

...I'm not the only one in Utah? That's confusing...usually I'm one of the lone online gamers of the bloody state. So that marks three of us, it would appear. Makes me wonder if I know either of you two...
Stangmar2005-12-07 22:55:06
You probably don't know me. I live just above the Utah/Arizona border in a small small town.
Unknown2005-12-07 23:32:43
That would confirm it then, seeing as I live in northern Utah. I have to go south to get to Salt Lake, and if you're farther south than that you already live too far away. Blasted people and their inability to drive, much less with snow on the ground. Argh.
Anarias2005-12-19 21:08:44
I live in Layton, also north of Salt Lake.
Unknown2005-12-31 17:41:04
Now wait a second...if you live in Layton, you live in the same place I do. For which you have my unending sympathy and pity, I can assure you. If you ever want to get together and hang out sometime, just lemme know. It's usually not very difficult for me to find any of the major landmarks within the city, such as Layton Hills mall or the Devil (ie. Walmart).
I warn ya though, I'm not always a very social person seeing as I don't drink, don't smoke, don't date, and don't like crowds.

Dakine and I live in Orem

I only know the name, not the location. I'm extremely bad at locations, alas. Probably south of salt lake with my luck, which means it's somewhere that might as well be in California for as well as I know it (never been to California, by the way).
Still, my sympathies for being cursed enough to live here. ;p

I actually like living in Utah myself. I've seen other places, and I like the environment here more.
Unknown2006-01-04 17:45:35
::blinks:: Really? While the environment is certainly better than something like Michigan (ye gods the humidity, death to me), I really enjoyed Alaska quite a bit more. Less people to be found there, it's out of the way, the landscape is astonishingly beautiful, and it's interesting. Nothing quite like taking the dog for a walk and encountering a fully grown moose in your path. I booked it straight out of there top speed. I don't feel fear much in my life, but that was definetely one time.
So...I dunno. I really don't like the people out here in Utah, but the environment is pretty good if you can handle the heat. Me, I've acquired a tolerance on heat of up to 140 degrees Farenheit. That's what I get for working on a production line inside trailers that retain heat. Requires a ton of water to keep going though.

It's not too bad here, I agree. Orem is just slightly north of Provo.. easier to say I live near utah lake.
Stangmar2006-01-04 22:57:05
I love the people in Utah. The crime rates is lower, the communities are noticeably safer, in general.
Unknown2006-01-04 23:01:01
And you can implicitly trust every single SUV on the road to cut you off, not signal EVER, cut into your lane while you happen to be occupying it, and generally get in your way. Also, every vehicle that isn't an SUV will do the same thing of course, it's just that SUV's outnumber the other vehicles like five to one these days. I wouldn't be here to type this right now if I wasn't good at dodging. Some guy tried to run me off the road less than an hour ago. I'm not terribly pleased.
Of course, it doesn't help that I'm particularly anti-religious. Kinda makes you wonder why I'd go with Celest, huh? ;p

People are just as bad drivers in other states. I've seen crazy.
Raan2006-01-13 23:16:35
We need to all get together sometime... maybe all provoke Dakine into hysterics.
Anarias2006-01-25 23:09:01
I ought to have checked this board sooner. I'm up for getting together somewhere with all the Utah Lusternians!
Unknown2006-01-26 01:27:09
I...am most probably not. I have no money, and as such, putting gas in my car is a very difficult endeavor. I also absolutely loathe driving, particularly in places I don't know.
But I'm a caustic jerk to most people, so you probably won't miss me anyway. ;p
