Greetings,

My name is Ryne. I am a novice Geomancer. I am writing this post to ask how to trigger a specific channel.

I.E.

(Novice): Ryne says, "Greetings all."

I want to know how to say trigger it so when someone says something like that I can have it auto-reply.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Sincerely,

Ryne cool.gif

Don't do that. I saw someone with an auto-greet trigger get caught in an infinite loop because someone ELSE had a similar trigger. They greeted each other thousands of times until the one who started it was outguilded to kill the spam. People actually died (while bashing) from the lag. Don't do that.

Geomancers or greeting triggers?

both? *smirk*

juuust jokes..
but yeah, I wouldn't recommend a auto-greet either. If you're too lazy to say 'Hi' to somone yourself, that's purdy sad.

well one way to do it would be to set the trigger to disable itself for like 20 seconds, dont know the exact syntax but you could do it like in thorgals curing system...
Trigger-set greeting variable 1 -fire greeting alias- -disable this trigger-

-greeting alias-
if greeting variable = 1 (ct Hail yadayada) -set greeting variable .5- -in 20 seconds fire greeting alias-
if greeting variable doesnt = 1 -enable trigger-
