Scholars more like Pilgrims?

Could you guys (coders) make the Scholars slightly more like Pilgrims. By that, I mean, when you get a Pilgrim to follow you, only the Pilgrim at the top of the IH list 'hears' it, and responds (I think?), so you're not getting spammed by all of the pilgrims who are following you.
It isn't really a big problem, but it is a bit messy when you have Scholars following you and they all speak up when you pick up a new one.

In fact, let's just make them different than pilgrims because at the moment, there is like no difference. Plus, how exactly do they get lost in the mountains? You'd think a scholar could read a map and follow directions like, "Take the Albaster Road North to..."

Quite easily, they were too busy reading the news paper and wandered off some small evil looking side path and ended up in the mountains.

I know people in the Serenwilde who can't find the Library without being shown directly. It makes perfect sense that a scholar who doesn't live in the Serenwilde wouldn't know where to go.

Besides, the scholars provide a picture perfect way for younger folks to give power to their nation. All they need to know is a way to the mountains and that the thing does a loop around the basin, then the method to get a Scholar to follow them.

I absolutly loved the pilgrim quest when I started, but quickly grew bored of it because it didn't do anything to anyone but myself (I can be selfish, but I'd rather get a 'win-win' situation going..or else get ALOT for it like the honor quests). Now I find myself wandering the mountains JUST for the scholars.

So leave the scholars alone..well, except in making them unspammy. I'd also like if I didn't have to ask them 10 times beacuse of wind but that's just dreaming for my part (and a reason to learn Windtalk)

I wonder if emoting the say would work?

I just wish it was recorded somewhere who brought in how many scholars, so people could be rewarded for doing it a lot sad.gif

Agreed. I made an idea of that a few days ago, whenever you and I had been talking to Ibaesha. I think that was when you were being all distracted, though, so I s'pose you have an excuse for not remembering wink.gif

No, I do remember, I'm actually just stealing your idea and claiming it as my own.
