I'm really happy that the artie auction will go through after all, but a lot of us were rely on that originally stated 10 day grace period for getting enough credits. I know I was. Meh.

Edit: Woo! I'm told that the auction will run for 10 days. *wipes brow*
Hajamin2005-10-09 16:06:49
Um, you still have the 10 day period if the auctions lasts for... 10 days.
Viravain2005-10-09 16:20:49
Don't worry - you have 10 days to scrape, argue, haggle, or just otherwise buy your way into some credits for the auctions. smile.gif

Good luck!

you guys better be auctioning some cool warrior stuff, or something good.

If you sell those vials with unlimited health/mana/bromide sips, I swear to God I'll be forced to bid 2000 credits for 'em and rob a bank RL for the cash. ninja.gif

You magnificent bastards. Do you want to bankrupt me?
Richter2005-10-09 17:42:09
The kind of dissappointing this is that you have to have the stuff on you, and it goes into escrow. Now, while that's nice, previously we could bid and bid, and then buy the nessecary credits afterwards, up to what you paid for it. Now you have to have purchased a set price.

Example 1, the way it is now:

I have 500cr in my inventory. I can only bid up to 500cr. It goes to 1000cr, I buy 500 more. It ends at 2000, and I had to buy 1000 more.

Example 2, the way it was before:

It goes up and up, I finally bid 2000cr. I win, and have ten days to buy the credits.

-However-, I'm not complaining, as this system will now keep people "honest" and there will be no problems of people not having the money.
Hajamin2005-10-09 18:05:33
It also means people can't bid just for the sake of raising the price, as you have to have the credits to actually bid.
Unknown2005-10-09 18:32:22
Not gonna stop me from bidding just to raise the price. tongue.gif
Iridiel2005-10-10 15:12:12
At least if you do you might end up having to pay those credits if nobody else does tongue.gif
Would be a nice system for citywide festivals auctions, even if it would be to be adapted so they can make auctions in gold or credits, and who receives such gold or credits (the city who organizes it for example).

Excellent point.

I hope that in the future, the gods might be able to start up an auction for me.

Well, not for -me-, for the things I might want to auction off!
Unknown2005-10-10 20:11:17
Can we keep the system? An extention of market so to say?
Richter2005-10-10 20:21:34
From the grapevine, this is what I heard:

The system stays, and will be used in the future probably, but gods will have to initiate them.

It's just loose talk though, so believe what you'd like!
Hajamin2005-10-10 20:46:21
Ofcourse it's staying... you think I spend 20 hours straight working on something to be used once? blink.gif huh.gif
Asarnil2005-10-10 20:54:39
To be honest Hajamin, Estarra has you so whip.gif that we wouldn't be surprised!
