When someone speaks in a foreign language, you see that they 'speak in an unintelligible language', or something along that.
Those that played Imperian will know about this, but I thought it'd be nice if each race had their own racial speech description when they spoke it in front of a foreigner, for examples, Merian would look like:
Vesar says something in a liquidy language, the sinuous phrases inflused with a melodic, fluid rhythm.
And so and and so forth with all the other races. It'd make speaking your own language much more fashionable!

Excellent idea! I've wanted something like this for a while, then you could actually tell which language it was as well. For example, I can tell when German is being spoken, but I don't understand a word of it.

I like it!

Viravain says something in a strange and beautiful language, your ear drums bleeding from trying to comprehend it.
Muaha.
Muaha.
Acrune2005-10-11 22:20:20
She'd be able to talk us to death.
Viravain2005-10-12 05:01:24
Ahhh, the wonder of never knowing what the Divine are working on in Their spare time.
Ialie2005-10-12 05:50:02
I mentioned this in the forums long time ago. Someone said they had already planned on doing this.

And we already feel the loss of Shiribot.

We should really have this man!! Would rock!

Exactly my thoughts.

Yeah, that'd be awesome.
Aslaran:
"Kymir says something unintelligble in a light, swift language."
Loboshigaru:
"Jack grunts and growls in a ferocious yet unintelligble fashion."
Merian:
"Vesar says, "GLUB GLUB GLUB GLUB."

No, it's
Merian:
Xavius says "Help! Help! I'm being killed!"
C'mon. Have we learned nothing from the forums?
Acrune2005-10-13 02:23:28
Merian haters.
Unknown2005-10-13 02:55:53
I think Xavius really does have the idea.
Acrune2005-10-13 03:11:35
Hmm, yeah. I just find it amusing that more often then not the people who make fun of merians probably couldn't beat me I recall a particularly amusing fight in stewartsville with Xavius recently.

Psh. You know how many people 5% of my might killed me that day? Anyone can kill me by just getting a friend and laying in with the damage.
Acrune, I am merian. Note the avatar? It's what I think of my race.
Acrune2005-10-13 03:31:30
I coulda sworn you were a knight. Oh well, too hard to keep track of everyone's class.
Crylia2005-10-13 15:34:07
I agree, that would be a really cool feature. I've thought about it in the past too, actually.
