Just wondering what people think of the few recent and annonced rpgs.
I can't wait till Phantasy Star Universe comes out especially as the online content will be available to australians unlike in Phantasy Star "Online". That and Romancing SaGa possibly FF12 though some people have talked it down.
Grr EB is evil, they are advertising the new Zelda even though it's not out till halfway next year apparently

Well, maybe you didn't want to hear that, but I am going to get Fabled and Dungeon Siege 2 tomorrow. And I am surely buying Gothic 3 and Morrowind: Oblivion. (Though I'll probably have to work on my PC for the latter two.)

*nudgenudge*
For those new to the Elder Scrolls series, Morrowind was #3, Oblivion is #4 (Arena and Daggerfall being 1 and 2).
So... it's actually The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Better hearing it from me than from some kid on the playground who'll make fun of ya!
And man, those screenshots of Zelda look awesome!

I knew that Richter. And I even know that you could be a Werbear in Daggerfall too....something that's still not in Morrowind after all those addons!
Richter2005-10-12 15:41:46
You could be a werewolf in Morrowind. *shrug*
Ashteru2005-10-12 15:46:12
I know....but compare a mere werewolf to a wereBEAR! That's like compairing polo to ferrari...

Dragon Quest 8, the Wild ARMs remake, Romancing SaGa (Possibly).
But that's only within two months. I could probably list more if I were willing to wait longer.

No, you could be a vampire in Morrowind. To be a werewolf, you had to get one of the expansion pack. Either Bloodmoon or Tribunal. Or, for Xbox, Morrowind : Game of the Year edition.

Console - Wild Arms: Alter Code F, Zelda: Twilight Princess
PC - TES4: Oblivion, Phantasy Star Universe (maybe), various MMORPG's I am beta testing.

So, essentially, you can be a werewolf in Morrowind.

I was pointing out that the werewolf thing can only be done in the Game of the Year edition and not in the regular Morrowind. Regular Morrowind and GotY edition are two differents games.
Anyway, believe what you want, I'm done posting on that subject. This is such a stupid thing to argue about.
Richter2005-10-13 20:19:01
The two expansions are now sold with every version of Morrowind that goes out. Strangely enough, the one that has the werewolf choice in it is called Morrowind: Bloodmoon (I also own them all).
I win!
I win!

There are some player and offical little things you can download into the game as well, I loaded mine up with bunches of more quests, a few more areas, and upgrade to ranged weapons.
One of the mods you can add to it lets you buy camping gear that you can set up, a tent and some surroundings, and most importantly a bedroll. reminds me of tents in Lusternia.

lol i just finished a good guy run through of fable: the lost chapter. much better than i thought though annoying because i wanted to go through as a pure mage but it just got too hard after a while and i had a huge ammount of strength experience worked up.
I'm also thinking of trying to actually finish my Telvanni tower patch. hehe an underground tower with exits all over the land only accessible to the player if they become the head of the house (hehe i love mage classes).
...well that or track down rmxp again and try to make one of my own but it'i hate the default character sets and i have no abilities whatsoever with graphics... though one of them started off ok. (got rid of automagical learning and worked on skillsets based guild/kingdom choices which you would have to raise then go and track down the teacher of that particular skill)

Hrm, I made it through fable once with my pure warrior who despises magic and never uses it, as well as any bows and crossbows. I was a bit irked when I found out that I -HAVE- to use them sometimes, destroyed the whole RP I made for him.*sniffe* Poor evil Black Knight....
The second time I tried a pure good Mage, didn't work either since most spells are too weak.
Hrm....I'll work on a Lusternia mod for Morrowind. Or I'll start with that when Oblivion comes out, I'll decide later.

hehe i'm going to try an evil warrior next so i'm aiming to get skorms bow asap so i can compensate for not raising the skill abilities. then only training the fighting will abilities (berserk, assasins, multi, etc)
and hooray for... ... ... lusterwind?
