Ok is it me or dose it seem in the warrior guilds there are more humans than there are any other races? I have noticed that just in general it seems like everyone and there brother is one. i am just wanting to know if anyone else has seen this and if so why is everyone doing it whats so good about it?
Richter2005-10-12 18:01:03
What's good about it? Humans have an exp bonus and their stats grow depending on which class they are. Why are they in warrior guilds? I'm not sure, but I'm also not sure that's accurate. Yould argue that maybe a faeling made a better ebonguard, or an orclach made a better ur'guard, so I guess it's personal choice.

Aye i just don't see why sense they could not really be a speed or something warrior unless they are high up and their stats are boosted
Terenas2005-10-12 18:06:24
Speed warriors aren't so great now after the nerf to hammers/rapiers. It's probably a lot easier to be a damage warrior, especially with elemental runes. But I've heard human is a great race at higher levels, no penalties whatsoever and very good stats.
Richter2005-10-12 18:06:40
I think you're saying "Don't you have to be high level for you to make the best use of the stat bonus?" .
To which I answer, yes.
However, do remember that all stats start out at 12, and in the other IRE games (as far as I know), people are perfectly happy with their humans having mid range stats and an exp bonus. Just think of the "evolution" as a bonus bonus.

Ah yes and sorry for my weird speech seems that i am not all here today. I understand what your saying. Just not use to seeing so many.

Another reason humans are concentrated in warrior guilds is because the magic guilds get far more distance out of, say, mugwump.
Murphy2005-10-13 01:32:28
personally i prefer a tanky race with good resistances for a warrior if he's damage, for a wounding warrior i prefer good str and decent speed, or awesome speed and normal str

Because humans are superior to the loathsome, lesser races. 204363

Another thing to note is that warriors have a good time uses all of the stats of a race. Str/Dex make for good attacks and woundings, Con is your health and Int allows for HP recovery the mana -> hp skills and also lets Serge be more useful. Cha, being the influence stat, means you'll have some debating power.
Add that to no weaknesses and an exp bonus and it makes a pretty decent class for leveling with and then for fighting when your levels are up.
In the least, you can always level as a human, then switch to another race later on with the free Reincarnation and suitable RP.

Humans in higher levels have stats dracnari save for a much higher dexterity in most respects. Even now I am only level sixty and I already have 13 con int and dexterity.
Human warriors even get great intellect as far as that goes for transmuting with decent constitution strength and dexterity alongside our experience bonus. I believe Ekard is around 87 and has 13 intellect.
Human would be great if your around 90 giving your 9 addition statistic points on top of your straight 12 across. Great for finishing your last levels. Over 80 points of stats isn't--that bad.
But there are also tons of ways to improve your characters in game with or without racial standards. Astrology has some great effects, cooking, and so on. Which are the two I chose to supplement my human, cooking for constitution and astrology for a maximum possibility of +5 constitution given when skull is 30%+ and with fortuna.
As a guardian on top of that I have fortuna and two charisma additions with the possibility of a herofete and lion sphere for a total of six charisma points possible given the timing of astrology.
Not to mention a total of four intellect on top of that possible from dolphin and fortuna.

Well, I believe the stats for human are at level 95... 16 str, 15 dex, 16 con, 13 int, 12 size, and 12 charisma, I think I got the dex wrong, but the str and int are correct. Think of i this way also, at level 85 it is HELLA hard to gain xp, so if you have lowmagic it is lvl 4 more experience with Human Race, Harmony, and Autumn. Human's are also very good fighter's in retrospect to being more surge then a igasho. With Flex, Bear, Weathering, Herofete, and amongst other defences, you're all set.

It would be nice if the exp bonus decreased as your level increased... so that by the time you had full evolution, you had a +0 exp bonus.
Diamante2006-05-04 04:15:37
hmph
Daganev2006-05-04 04:23:11
Thats when you need the xp bonus the most.

No, that's when it is the most valuable. But I think cameo's give enough benefit to high-level characters without the free 3x experience boost.
Without factoring cameos... sure, I can see how the fact you don't have stat boosts at lower levels means the experience gain is a balancing factor. But unfortunately, that is irrelevant with the artifacts available.
If it were up to me, level 50 you'd go down to a level 2 exp bonus, level 75 you'd go down to a level 1 exp bonus, and level 90 you'd lose the bonus altogether. I think all characters should have to work about the same to get Titan/Demigod.
I suppose its a good thing its not up to me.

Wow another majorly nerco'd thread.
Oh, and everyone wants to be human because I'm human.

What does a cameo have to do with anything?
Ashteru2006-05-04 09:05:12
It makes the people stuck with no exp bonus races envious.
And I like being human, it's nice, even though I'd probably do better as Tae'dae when bashing. Only about 0.5 seconds slower with my bashing hammers, but 1000x times tankier.
