So I was late for my BioChem 422 Lab and my professor told me not to bother coming for the class after I get there. I already handed in three weeks worth of homework that isn't due for another four weeks.

Him "Hey (name). Why are you here?"

Me "Attendance and class?"

Him "(name), you just handed in three weeks of homework that wasn't even due yet."

Me "I'm a perfectionist. I wanted to be ahead in the class."

Him "(name), if you want, you don't even have to come to class for the next week. We're covering chapters 15, 16, 18, and 19. You already handed in homework for those chapters."

Me "I can't lose my attendance. One my scholarships rides on it."

Him "I'll count you present. Don't worry about it."

Me "Are you sure?"

Him "Just call me tomorrow to let me know if you can TA my class on Friday."

Me "But I thought (name) was TAing your class on Friday."

Him "She's sick with the flu or something."

Me *really confused* "Um...okay."

So yeah. I freak out because I arrive five minutes late for class, and this prof is the kind that locks the door if you're late and doesn't let you in.

So I'm a bit peeved right now.

I'm trying to understand why you're peeved. He said you don't gotta come, you're ahead of the game, AND you're getting attendance. Girl, knock back a bottle of captain and relax.

Its a major university. Attendance can be docked by the TA, and if the TA finds out I'm not there, my attendance can be docked anyways. I'm so close to graduating, and if I the scholarship that rides on attendance, I can be royally .

Sounds like you're doing good.

I'm with you on this one. If you can make it to class then I'd go for the sake of your attendence (Since even professors may forget these things). Even if they are reviewing the chapters you already did it's always more practice for you.

I wish I were as dedicated as you though! My classes are so boring right now.

But now that I have a real job, and a long term relationship, none of that is needed.

Then also work 8 hours, believe both things are compatible.
Been unable to play anything since the weekend, so much homework, and dsl got sick and didn't work due to the rains.

I have a real job, a long term relationship, and I still booze up when I have the chance. And my house looks like an internet caffee. Spanish way of life!!

Some times I'm glad I didn't manage to get any scholarships to lose....
