Ok ive just went pureblade from being a Celestine a couple of ingame and I have a series of questions:
1. Does heftsword give a message? If it does how many times does it work cause i havent seen it work yet and im getting parried alot.
2. Does any of our afflictions give blackout? If not what is the affliction in blademaster that does?
3. What is the poison affliction rate?
4. Since my swords speed is 160 with dwarven runes on it is the Lightning combatstyle worth it, it seems what that most people i spar i was getting balance after the rebounding so i waited the short time till they attacked me.
5. how long is the legtendon and amputate leg regen delay and also does it reset if i hit amputate leg while its curing? I noticed in my last spar it didnt seem it lasted long enough for me to do anything special so it might just be my balance.
Now time to remember the rest of these questions... Thx in advance.

1. Only the one parrying receives a message.
2. None of our afflictions give blackout, unless they don't bother curing their lungs.
3. There is no poison affliction rate, no difference between using poisons or not using them, as a pureblade. If you're determined to use them, only use mantakaya.. to drain their mana a little.
4. Lightning combatstyle doesn't work, only use aggressive or defensive.
5. The delay 4 seconds I believe, and it doesn't reset upon re-afflicting.

Hmm for my only lightning combat style was working.
Are they work correctly?

The rate is 50%, wounding is your real affliction method. If you happen to become champion one day that affliction rate will increase.

Wait so concentrated combatstyle doesnt work either?
Also whats the point of doing legtendon then get amputate leg if they still cure the amputate leg from the legtendon regen?
So what is the sucess rate on hitting heftsword and does it work on anyone but warriors also can you give me the message for it cause i still dont think it works?

I said that, because using venoms isn't worth the cost for a twohander, since their affliction rate is still as low as onehanders, but they only hit once. So the small chance onehanders have to get in a venom, gets lowered even further by half for twohanders.

As a trill and viscanti, I jabbed exactly 1 second faster in aggressive style than in lightning style, so I assume they aren't working.

Melanchthon told me only Defensive style was working, but I havn't tested any of them yet myself. I just took his word for it because he seems to know his stuff.
Edit: Actually, he told me you'd swing about 1 second faster in -any- stance vs. not being in a stance, but that Defensive was the only style that did anything -other- than that.

I told you someonthing wierd is with those combats styles. When i tested it only lightning stayle was faster and others didnt had any impact on my damage, wounds or speed.
Alger2005-10-19 07:54:45
From what I know, thats because we do not work on a linear weapon stat formula. (i.e. A + in speed doesnt actually mean you'll be significantly faster.)
Corr2005-10-19 18:14:55
Have people been testing these stances with many different types of weapons both with similar stats (if using two weapons at once)?
Ekard2005-10-19 19:18:15
I have tested them with broadswords and rapiers and for both only lightning gived me faster balance, others didnt do anything for me.
I didnt tested how defensive will effect my defenses but he didnt change my damage, speed or wounds.
Maybe its just diffrent styles will be working for diffrent combination of race and weapons.
PS i tested them with Champion helm, maybe i should test wichout helm too.

With a normal balance race, the only styles giving me any effect were aggressive and defensive. Defensive made me dodge hits while stancing legs with a 95% chance, and aggressive made me 1 second faster compared to no style, or in any of the other styles.
Fickle, buggy and out of whack, but from what I understand, they're working on it.

I think i said question 5 wrong does the regen reset if i hit legtendon and your curing but then i hit amputate leg before the legtendon is cured? And is it just me or should i have went bonecrusher cause right now i feel like im not gonna be up to par with other single hand weapon knights?
Thorgal2005-10-20 02:48:18
If you chop off someone's leg, before the regeneration timer from legtendon finishes, the leg will cure.. but that still leaves another regen and mending application, since it's still mangled.
Unknown2005-10-20 02:52:24
Do you believe its possible to get decapitate off of that cause as it seems it looks kinda impossible to use that skill other then group combat? I only got that combo once so I want to see what i could do if i hold off some power.
Unknown2005-10-23 05:01:28
Since i dont feel like making a new thread does having the slickness affliction make it so you cant apply health on wounds?
Terenas2005-10-23 05:37:15
Decapitate is extremely useful if you managed to severred someone's legtendon, or even amputated his limbs. This makes it impossible for them to tumble or walk out of the room and allow you a chance to finish off with decap.
And Slicknes should stop application of health as well. If you can get a Slit throat with Slickness, that's a very powerful soft-lock. Throw Leg tendon in that and it's nearly impossible to get out of.

next question is tackle success determined on the users strength or size?
