Is it possible for books and anything else readable to have their inventory descriptions display the title? For now the only way I know how to sort out my letters is to take them all out, and read them one by one while putting them in my pack. I know some people also carry a lot of documents with them and it gets to be a nuisance. For example, something like this:
"letter7867" 'Person's Contest Entry'
or maybe
"letter7867" an elegant white letter titled 'Person's Contest Entry'
Oh, and letters aren't title-able at the moment, but if this idea is considered then perhaps the title command can be added to them to, sort of like the way journals work?
And one more request... can tailors have a satchel design?

I like this idea.

I definitely like this idea. From an RP standpoint, I imagine that the person's name, or the missive title at least would be on the letter itself.

I am just considering it from an ease-of-use pov. It would be much nicer to see 'Ramblings of a Mad Man' rather than compendium12345, especially when one is carrying around a number of the same type of item.

I know, I understand the ease of use, I was just justifying my point of view by explaining it in an IC view... you can't have something completely inconsistent with the world added just cos it looks good.

This would be very handy, but has the (minor) drawback of giving very little exposure to the item's short description, although that's easily worked around.

Message the Charites about new designs.
