Now I know that Gaudiguch clan is very active and all but the reason the Hallifax one isn't is because Rexali ran away...somewhere.

So I am rather interested if there is much 'interest' in Hallifax or if it is just me and a handful of people? I'd like to get organized like that one Gaudiguch clan but alas so many other things have my attention right now.

I heard there were a lot of forest savages who wanted to join Hallifax if it came around and that would be rather interesting.

I honestly don't see (and somewhat hope) Hallifax coming around for a while.

Even if it doesn't come back, clan's don't hurt.

unless they go around enemying every single person simply for hunting, getting all of their clan members angry at those people that were enemyed, and vowing to get into power when/if the city ever comes around, and in truth, if that ever did happen, limiting the RP potential of said City because they're already got hatreds built up from even before it came back.

I'm very much anticipating Hallifax. As for the clan, Rexali melded the old Seekers of the Matrix into the Guardians a long time ago. I know I'm still in the Guardians for that reason.

Yep. Which is exactly why we don't do that. The Guardians build culture and provide somewhere for people with interest in Gaudiguch to participate in the movement. We don't persecute people for hunting Dracnari in the encampment, not that we like it, nor do we place "limitations" on the RP of the cities in the future. We're trying to build a culture of sorts and facilitate RP, not destroy it.

I know the cities won't be out for a while. Everyone knows that and every time there's a new thread someone has to say it. Well you know what? That's not the point! The RP around the cities can and is interesting anyways, we're not all power grabbing anal retentive proliferators of boring and restrictive RP. It's an opprotunity to be a part of something that's important from an IC perspective even if we're not going to get the cities soon OOC. Come and help us make it interesting if you don't think it is!

I'm tired of "conventional" IRE excuses for organizational RP. We need things like this to add real flavor.

People who constantly hunt the mesa inhabitants and then pledge their allegiance to Hallifax once it comes out... *shudder* *shakefist* My character has a solid background based around the mesa so very vehemently believes that enemies of the mesa should be enemies of Hallifax

And I'll tell you two things, one that I like, one that I don't like:

I like the current Barosi clan for Gaudiguch. It's active, the people do the quest, and its good fun.

I don't like people always saying "Gaudiguch and Hallifax are going to return soon!", or any combination of those. Gaudiguch and Hallifax will return when we start seeing the gods roleplay in that direction, or we see additional quests, or the current one changes, and Not until then.

Do you mean IC or OOC? I don't have a problem with it IC as that's no different than Richter saying "One day my manse will have 200 rooms!" or something similar to that. OOCly, eh.. I think people should really take a look at the big picture so they don't disappoint themselves, but at the same time they should stick to their roleplay.

Both, but usually when I hear about it in-game, people say stuff like it will be "released" or "put out", and usually not "we found a way to free them from being stuck in whatever little magic buble thing they're in".

Hallifax and Gaudiguch are right about to appear. I heard it from a source that will remain undisclosed as I need to protect her.

I didn't tell you that, but to get the first quest done you need consist of every and all citizen of the basins doing:
TRANSFER 20 CREDITS TO ALTHANA AT 0 GOLD
That will get her back to the game and she can give you more clues.

Rexali you should at least transfer the clan to me so I can work with it.

I think the reason Hallifax has a lack of interest is because in the histories, they did like *everything* wrong.

and meanwhile, Gaudiguch is like the epitome of awesome, seeing through the tainted people, and that Bhodi guy just rocked. Gaudiguch just seems much more appealing. Anyway Chaotic sounds much more fun to me then Order..course that's just me. Anyway, though nothing should (and hopefully won't) come out soon--Because hey, sometimes I'm the ONLY person around in Glomdoring..I can only imagine what would happen if another organization come out-- I'm a firm believer in Ackleberry before Gaudiguch/Hallifax.

Pah, Hallifax was cool because they were unwittingly evil. If they come back I can definitely see 'em forging an alliance, however misguided, with Magnagora.

Gaudiguch is probably popular because most people like to consider themselves 'individuals' and Gaudiguch was all about individuality. Hallifax, on the other hand, sublimated individuality in favor of society. Heck, though it is not directly mentioned in the histories, Hallifax was also the only city that practiced slavery, having an extremely hierarchal caste system. Indeed, for all its beauty, it was a very scary place.
