It's a very old show from the late '80s in belgium, where apparently it was the first to outdo with taboos and such. This is an instance where they are speaking about medical faillures and these two people had their vocal cords damaged when their tonsils were taken out. The host had not been able to speak to the guests before the show started which caused this rather painful situation.
