Im a pretty decent coder and I want to use nexus for the simple face that no one else does
So my question is a bout sipping
Im pretty new at this whole game thing but as I know it there are certain potions that do te same thing as sme discipline things, if thats the case with one is better?
Do all these discipline skills cost eq or bl? And if so does that make the potions inferior or superior?
Why is this in mechanics? Becouse I need to know from a coding perspective wether to sip or use a discipline first as in . .
I dont have bl or eq do I sip or do i wait to use the skill?
I have balance and eq in a fight, im afflicted do i sip? Do I use the skill?
Yhanks for the input!

Potions are always better during a PvP fight.

While killing mobs skills are probabbly better.

Some skills however are better than potions if it allows you to cure 2 or 3 things at once.

You want to be able to cure as many afflictions as possible as quickly as possible.

It depends on the skill. Skills that require balance or equilibrium are best left for more critical moments since you'll rather want to use balance/equil for attacks. Even if the skill doesn't TAKE balance/equil, the fact you have to wait can mean life or death.

Thus the knee-jerk reaction should be to use a vial, salve, or herb to cure, and switch to skills either to heal even faster if you need to recover or to break out of a lock. There are exceptions: I've seen people use focus mind regularly to deal with stupidity.

Oh, and I think the Healing skill is another BIG exception. You still start with using the herb or vial, but the skill is still used regularly to cure as well.

the best way to cure is to prioritise your curing in terms of what afflictions are most important. Its ALWAYS better to use the herb, potion or pipe rather than the skill. The skill always has penalties to use. Most classes that will give you a lot of stupidity and other mental afflictons are also the classes that will try to absolve you, so ONLY use focus mind to cure out of anorexia and asthma.

Well if you are say.. a wiccan. You could always use focus mind and it wouldnt make a difference

I'm sure Wiccans run out of mana. I mean, I never have...but I'm sure it happens!

I run out when being lashed repeatedly and not doing anything... unsure.gif

The main reason most people don't use Nexus is not because its bad, but because you can't really share triggers or import settings.

The latest version is actually pretty good.

That is annoying. I've wished I could make a nice Nexus system and just have it downloadable for newbies who can't play on zMUD or play from work or whatever, but it's not possible. sad.gif

It's not bad when you get used to it, it's just slow and missing a few things. And spammy due to no gags/subs.
