I have a question who would like to have astral back. In same form as it was before, maybe with little change that if node is low more creatures will respawn and they will be deadly, like when Kethuru event. It would stop draining them to nothing. ekard as charracter was always thinking that if nodes will go to null all at once Kethru will come again, it was just his personal theoru, i think Lazul have come with it on GTS a long time ago.
It would be realy nice to have some event that would reminf us about Kethuru out there somwhere waiting and lurking to attack us, as we have drained those all nodes. No way for us players to restore it without Divines help.
With this little change, those that would like astral dead would haev much harder time, but they still could do it if they want it dead so much. And realy it only hurt those players that cant buy ooc credits and need to earn gold for them.
And please post only who is for this idea and who is for no. Maybe short commend here and there i was just curious, how many of players wants Astral back.

Is it the fact that players drained the nodes to empty? So by 'normal', do you mean the state where players are more accountable and responsible?
I just wanted to make clear that the astral itself didn't change.

I and a lot of others would like to see astral put to where it was at kethuru, more spawns and harder spawns per link, and sometimes you get more than youe xpect so you get shafted on occaision. Astral was an awesome place to have a bit of pk and take out someone who you have good reason to kill, while not on prime.
to do that nowadays you gotta hit em on prime which is unfortunate. Bring back kethuru astral it was awesome

Players also once slew all five demon lords. Does that mean the "players" want the demon lords dead? I imagine we had more people up on Nil at that time that it took to empty the nodes

I don't care much at the moment.
I've never been able to bash there, and to me it's only an endless source of experience at low risk (conglutinate, vitae, etc...) that takes value out of being a demigod or a titan. As long as it's like this, I won't like it.
If they make really a scary bashing ground where you actually lose something for being killed, it would have a function in the game.
Of course, I know many others love the place and I am very disappointed at those who egoistically pissed everybody else off by draining the nodes with several excuses ranging from RP to "if it's not me, somebody else will". I find that very annoying from an OOC point of view, as everything that puts yourself over the enjoyment of the other 100 people that you share the game with at a certain moment.
But I wouldn't like the divines going poof, and here you have full nodes again, enjoy. If players broke it, players will mend it. Probably making it a more challenging place and reducing the ways to avoid losing xp will help players control the people who drain the nodes, as it won't be so damned easy to do so, and will also solve my concern with the place as a Titan factory.

I hope your aware that that is a bad argument for your cause since players also brought the demon lords back.

As usual, you fixate in the wrong direction. The point was simply that the "players" in both case were of similar number (to drain Astral versus to kill all five demon lords). The idea that the "players" wanted Astral dead is misleading because 5-10 people are not the "players" of Lusternia. They are if anything a very small minority (one of the prime drainers, Rafael, is even inactive now... which happened directly afterwards).
Whereas in the case of the Demon Lords, the work of say 6 players can be undone by a greater number (Magnagora, for example) working to restore the Demon Lords. The process is fairly simple; you take essence to the spot of the deceased Demon Lord.
In contrast, Astral cannot be "fixed" so readily. Once it is dead, it takes both a huge amount of time + no draining. To put it into perspective, imagine if it was impossible to resurrect Gorgulu if one grub was slain and that essence used for something other than restoring him. At this point, you'd have to start over because all the other essence previously added doesn't count.

And quite honestly, I could give a damn if the Demon Lords were instantly resurrected. My goal was simply to prove that I could kill them. I didn't gain any power out of it... that was Celest.

It was Richter who added this normal to title of this topic.
And i know that Astral wasnt changed. I know it we players drained it to nothing. And it also we players who wont give it chance to recharge.
But i can draem that Divines will change it a bit, right?
Belive me, changing astral a bit would help in generall.
I really think that my idea isnt that bad.
If nodes would be around nothing astral creatures should be very deadly, and when it recharge they are going back to normal.
But those are only my dreams, right?

I don't see why Astral cannot be made to spawn more creatures (say a random amount between 5 to 15) at a faster rate than it does currently. The creatures could be slightly stronger (I find it a bit sad they are so crappy)... and nodes would spawn 1-3 creatures per link.
I want Astral to be feared! It should be deadly and nasty... people should be all like: "I heard such-and-such went to the Astral Plane and he came back torn to pieces!" "Oh my gods! The Astral Plane? What the hell was he thinking going there by himself! Idiot!"

Having more mobs spawned and making Astral more scary is in no way related to "refilling" the nodes, which is what people are asking for.
That was a player created problem and should be solved by players. Just as when the economy goes sour, the admin don't makes changes to "help us"
It was the "players" no matter how many, because the admin did not make any changes to the game in one direction or the other, and the information about nodes being drained was known about since the begining. Just as if a few players bought 3,000 credits and decidd to go around and buy out all the commodities in every village and every comm shop. The admin are not going to suddenly drop new commodities onto the market.

That's a load of garbage. I slew Gorgulu solo and his ass got upgraded like four times. It was a "player problem" because people weren't "protecting" him anymore than people were "protecting" nodes. The problem with Astral imo is design. It is designed to be able to be exploited by as few as 1 person so it needs "upgraded" in much the same way Gorgulu did.

How about it gets scarier, and if you die there you have to fight your way back down to conglutinate through an Astral Underworld? If you die there, you come back to life as you would by praying and you lose the same amount of experience as a pray, but the mobs in the underworld give experience, limited to up to how much experience you had when you died?

As far as I know, Astral was designed as a place for communities to fight over gaining power. You drain the nodes so that the others can't get access to the power.
Thus guardians and wiccans have the whole node draining thing.

The title used to be "who want astral back", I figured that implied that astral was currently gone, so I switched it to "who wants astral back to normal". I can change that if you'd like.
And sure, its within the players' power to have astral back to normal, but it takes one person to screw it up, and we have thousands of players.
