Since I can't find an actual section for this, it's stuck here, lol.

Let's see, Hi, I'm Ianthe. Very few of you probably have seen me, most likely those in Celest unless I happen to bump into you while I was walking around the Basin (without a clue to where I was going). smile.gif smile.gif

As for me the player, hmmmm I live in NJ. smile.gif I'm 22. And I'm going to college to be an art teacher. *ponders* Ummm idk, I'm not all that interesting! ^.^()

I figured I might as well join this thing, although I'm horrible and usually eventually I just lurk!

Hello!!!!
Richter2005-11-07 17:16:32
Always good to see people announce themselves when they're new, because it lets us know... that you're new! Any MUDding experience before? Since you're a decent age, you're going to school to be a teacher, I might have to steal you and lock you away in my growing hoard of people that don't play just to gain l337 skillz!

Have fun in Lusternia! biggrin.gif

I knew the name Ianthe looked familiar! Welcome to the forums and Lusternia then. Same age as I am, though the difference lies in the fact that you're going to College, while I am not.

Also, welcome to the Lurking club. There's a few of us around, though exact numbers are of course very difficult to find. ;p

Have fun out there!

What is it about celest that brings people to say hi on the forums?

Why don't other people do it also?

People who join "evil" societies in games are all socially-inept introverts with no natural candour or charm.

... there are exceptions to this, of course, but they are few and far between. tongue.gif

Jack's onto something...

*giggle* well, thank you!!

I have played a few MUDs before, my first was Achaea. In fact, I still have two characters on there, one that is really old and my most experienced character that I go on every so often (because it's fun hehe) and another that is relatively new, but she has a family and everything so I guess now that I think of it she's not that new anymore haha. I'm sort of attached to Iron Realms, since I find that most others can't compare to what you can do and also I'm picky about how the text looks! Hahaha I want to be able to see what I'm reading ^.^()

I like to play because I like creating and maturing (even if I'm not sure if I can spell it) my character! It's so much fun to see what you can build and accomplish. I *LOVE* Lusternia especially because you can choose a trade skill!!! That is SO neat, and I think it is just another thing that helps you make your character it's own...errr....character!

In point of honesty, the ability to choose our skills and specializations is one of the biggest things I love about Lusternia. I wish we had a bit more options as far as certain skillsets go (more specializations, dangit!), but it is truly what sets Lusternia apart from the other three IRE games.

On the other hand, I wish we didn't have the limitation of Archetypes here. Some classes are very hard to fit within an Archetype in my opinion, so I feel that it could be potentially limiting in the future. Time will tell.

Richter, Jack, Daganev - Not all who are evil are without charisma. Some of my favorite characters to play are evil and very charismatic. Many have thought them to be paladins before they witnessed just how cruel those characters could be when someone raises their ire. Of course, it's not natural for me to be evil, so... ::shrugs:: Yer probably right though, it seems that most people who choose to be evil are less adept or inclined towards being friendly with other players. 'Course, that could just be my MMORPG experience talking... rolleyes.gif
