Say I wanted to submit a detailed idea, and the forums might not be the best place? Where would I send that to? Is there a place to send it to?
Daganev2005-11-08 00:13:26
email Estarra@lusternia.com or Roark or any of your other favorite divine. The less popular the divine the more likely it is to get read!
Richter2005-11-08 00:16:54
I have a feeling that if I submitted something to the wrong place, it would dissappear into a black hole that is unanswered email.
Acrune2005-11-08 00:20:11
email support and ask them where you should email the idea?
Daganev2005-11-08 00:24:10
Just remembered that there is also that newsboard in game for just these sort of things.
Richter2005-11-08 00:24:44
There is a newsboard in game for potential plots, not detailed skillset suggestions.
Unknown2005-11-08 00:28:55
Email it, send it in a letter to your orgs patron, something like that.
Iridiel2005-11-08 09:55:15
I suggest you use mail, I doubt a God wants to receive an OOC letter when they're not admins but Divines
Send a mail to estarra and probably she'll read it

Richter, I have an idea on how you can do it "in game".
Write a book on your theories. Once I get done the who's who book, I plan on doing this for some ideas I have for potential skills. You can write up ideas as potenital theories. Then, publish the book. If the gods end up using your idea, you could be the person who made the discovery, or just turned out to be precogniant.

Inventing a detailed skillset would involve a whole lot of OOC information, so putting it in book form would be a poor idea.
Estarra2005-11-11 02:16:54
You can send it to me.
I will say we are extraordinarily backed-up on projects so the chances are almost nil that you'll see anything manifest of your suggestions, especially if it is a skillset involving a new guild or archetype (since that's all been planned out for the next year or two).
However, saying that, there's always the chance that your ideas are so amazing that I become obsessed with them and push everything else to the side in order to do something with it.

A good skillset would have to be viable in ICly though. The theory and basis behind the skills would have to be IC, even if the mechanics aren't. Thus, an IC book on a skill would probably be best to start. After that, have a skillset availible if any divine notices.

Alright, I'm going to try and develop this with a few other people, and we'll submit it. It's not a guildskill, because I do understand how hard those are going to be, seeing as how they're tied to multiple organizations.

I see the coders looking at Richter with bloody eyes...

I also will accept skill set idea's, infact I already have a few that we've taken some idea's from when we design new skills. As much of the skill that is reasonable, will be added to our list of idea's which we will look at when the time comes to design new skills. You might see the whole idea, or maybe just parts of it... depends on how solid the idea was, how well it fits in, and if we need something like that.
