1. Please allow there to be a message when a regen gem has been set, like the privacy one? Please?
2. And is it regen for everyone, or just allies?

It's only allies. I'd also prefer if there was a message about it working, not necessarily something in the room.
'Your weary psyche is soothed by your surroundings."
"Your exhaustion drains away as you rest in this environment."
or something similar.

WOuldn't it be fun if the gems sucked the endurance and willpower from enemies who entered your manse?
Unknown2005-11-14 00:13:07
Fun, maybe... I'm not sure how useful it would be though. 20 endurance/willpower a tic isn't terribly much unless you're going to let them stand there for a few days.
Richter2005-11-14 00:16:33
I didn't know it didn't do that, because it doesn't specify.
Endurance Gem (100 credits)
- Turns a room to an Endurance Regeneration Room
- One use, then disappears
- Use ACTIVATE

Only allies though.

But it should say. I wasted 200cr.

Not to mention all that false advertising! The whole time I thought I was recovering willpower faster and it was really no different!
EDIT: meh I meant endurance
Richter2005-11-14 00:39:32
I added the willpower gem today, I said endurance before.
And I thought we were all regenerating endurance faster.

It's annoying, I know, but it's probably to stop one person making a completely public manse, then setting all the gems in it. If there's a free room anyone can regenerate in, it basically devalues all other gems to near worthlessness.
Richter2005-11-14 01:15:29
Kind of like what I was doing. It was party to draw business to the store.
Unknown2005-11-14 01:23:59
Aye, many of us with public manses have already taken the path you are now, I would guess.
Sylphas2005-11-15 07:52:26
Allies is rather limiting. I'd get one if I could set it to Talnara only. Make them tunable, like totems?
Hajamin2005-11-15 08:56:09
It is everyone, not allies... mainly because the way those things are coded makes it so doing allies only is more work than it's worth.
As for the message, it's not a seperate regen, it just increases your normal regen amount in the room. So while you're sitting in there, every time it checks to see if you would regen it adds X amount to it(even if you wouldn't normally regen). IE If you aren't meditating, then each time it checks for will regen you regen 0. Same situation, only there is will regeneration on it in the room, you now regen 20(0+20). Ofcourse, I just used 20 randomly, that's not the exact amount.

Well, that's good news.
The actual regen amount is an additional 15, but because it only hits on 3 out of every 4 meditation ticks (a slower cycle, maybe) it works out to be more like 11 per tick
Comparison of willpower boosts:
The reason I asked about a separate message is because the regeneration is not in time with meditation.

- Manse willpower gem provides approximately extra 11.25 willpower per meditation tick. (With a cycle just over that of meditation, it contributes about every 3 of 4 meditations)
- Greenman facepaint provides extra 4 willpower per meditation tick.
- Circlet of Will artifact provides extra 24 willpower per meditation tick.
- Rocking chair furniture provides extra 4 willpower per meditation tick.

Yay! It works for everyone! Come sit in Deepnight now, we have willpower and endurance regen at the fulcrux!
Edit: Er, sit doesn't an H in it

How much regen does trans Discipline add to willpower?
Richter2005-11-15 15:07:57
Here's the suggetions for the messages:
A feeling of warmth is here, rejuvenating your mind.
A feeling of warmth is here, rejuvenating your body.
That's to complement the privacy message.

Try the test yourself, Richter. Get someone drained to sit there for five minutes without ally and five with. Then post guards around Crow in case Hajamin gets hungry.
Hajamin2005-11-15 15:33:55
Bah, I actually looked at it... someone took the time to make it allies only like it should be... well that's one more thing off the bottom of my list.
