XP loss

How to put this...

Lets nerf the pk loss from losing XP from praying. i'm thinking 10% MAX from praying should be the xp loss. 10 seconds of lag or losing your net connectoin is enough to get you killed while bashing even the simplest of mobs...

Honestly I know this game is meant to be addictve but is it cool to take away hours of bashing at higher levels for one simple disconnection or simlair?

EDIT: Losses from pvp shouoldn't be anywhere over 5% max xp from a praying death. Why is it ok for one player to cost another so much time and effort? Not to mention its a lot easier to kill someone while they bash

What is the current experience loss from praying, in neutral and enemy territory?

Also, it depends on what level you are, someone on 50 will lose a lot less than someone on 90, is that right?

If so, I'd opt for making it more constant, it's not really fair that a person with a high level has more to lose.

For bashing - even though high level people get a lot more criticals which allows them to kill faster (and get exp faster), knowing the % chances of getting all types of criticals, shouldn't be hard to calculate how much bigger their damage output is, approximately. And then, would you be lvl 30 or 95, it'd take more or less the same time to regain the exp, let's say an hour.

I'd also like to see the enemy territory exp loss boost gone.

At level 79 I lost around 40% in neutral territory, which brought me back to Level 78. tongue.gif

enemy territory is around ~60% I believe.

Xp lose if you need to pray is realy painful and could be one thing that stops people from anjoying game.

Maybe we could see more fights if this would be lowered, people woulnt be so scared to fight.

But i'm not sure about that, there is something like vitae too. i'm not using it cose from my early days, after i vitaed i died seconed time. And lost additional exp, praying+vitae.

There are a LOT of anti-praying skills/abilities/defs. Vitae, lich, transmigration, resurgem, conglutinate, and Ressurection - and then good old Immolate.

Last I heard, xp-loss from death is much smaller here than it is on other IRE games.

So, in conclusion - play your cards right, and you never, ever have to pray again. If you're going to raid on Prime, expect appropriate XP losses.

This isn't World of Warcraft - and, in your own words, Murphy, harden up.

Only transmigration is failsafe, with the rest, you never can't be sure (for prime that is).

True. Except Ressurection. That just requires you to get your soul to a trans sacraments user. smile.gif

Transmigration isn't failsafe either, then. If someone smooshes your animal, you're ubersmushed. smile.gif

But you can put it in a safe room?
Narsrim2005-11-14 18:24:03
Lusternia NEEDS xp loss on Prime. We already do not have it any where else thanks to conglutinate. For this reason, we find that lots and lots of people are getting titan/demigod/high 90s pretty easy because there is no risk.

We need risk, not less risk.
Unknown2005-11-14 18:35:08
Big risk makes people afraid and not participate in combat. I agree about titans/demigods, but it can be achieved another way - lower xp loss from praying, but make gaining exp for 90+ harder.

Na. I fight day-in-day-out... and i'm like a hair from level 91. It can be done.
Unknown2005-11-14 18:39:38
You. With years of IRE combat experience and excellent escape abilities.
Think about others sometimes.
Unknown2005-11-14 19:06:11
If you lessen the XP loss on prime, imagine how much quicker Narsrim will get Demigod. Who here wants to see Narsrim as a demigod?
Aiakon2005-11-14 19:20:21
fair point.

Ending up with less combat on prime - what they have been trying to do for a long time.

KACHING!
