The triggers thread is really amazing, but when i'm classing triggers by affliction, it can be confusing because the list here is categorised by cure. There are some affliction lines that to be honest, could be anything, and it'd be a big risk to guess what they give and add them to my system.
So does anyone happen to have a list of their own listed by affliction, or that shows the affliction?

Take a look at Ethelon's posted system for some idea. There are other scripts and posts available, too, if you look around hard enough. I pretty much gave up on my combat system for Lusternia, or at least the MUSHclient version, because there are so many new things added so quickly and other things are changing that invalidate the methods of curing that I had worked out. Can drive a logical person insane very quickly.

I'll do that. I was going to use his system, but the client really doesnt suit me, i'm used to Arial font and it being a bit bigger than default, quirky and downright offensive to someone else looking at it, but i like it and cant operate without it. MUSH doesnt support it, and doesnt seem to support me either, but i'll fall back on it if all else completely fails.
Thanks

I am not sure what you mean by "MUSH doesn't support it ". It supports all the fonts that are installed on your computer (read: Windows), so the only case in which it would fail to support Arial is if you don't have it installed, which in itself is very unlikely.

oh and i was wondering...i found the best way to get afflict lines is to spar lots of people and collect them yourself..why dont you try that?

Oh i will do when i can survive more than a single bashing attack
It's just a bit more reliable to use a list already compiled, collecting them yourself can take months and months and you'd never really be sure if you've got them all, effectively causing one in two spars to fail miserably due to not curing something simple.
I'll just get to know the afflictions so i can distinguish what the triggers are in said thread.

just get a friend to help, and make them use really crappy weapons etc

How do you think those already compiled lists got made?

Painstakingly, hence my skepticism on if anyone would have
I feel sorry for the people who gather all this information together from beta onwards.

i found it fun gathering in the beggining mainly because i was dying continuously on amazing raids and it didnt matter as you lost so little and gained it back as quickly as was lost...in fact for younger players its still like this
